Liverpool one up at half time in the Merseyside derby, Mascherano with his first goal since the one he got against Reading. EveROFLton have had two goals disallowed for offside.

Have to say I'm struck by the poor football played by Everton. Liverpool are direct, sure, but Everton is just long ball after long ball at the head of Jo. Set pieces are aimed at Fellaini's head. Their midfield is all hustle and no football, perhaps with the exception of Pienaar. They really don't look like a great side.

Just switched on to Kettering v Leeds after listening to the cricket on TMS. 39 minutes gone and still 0-0, not sure what kind of side Leeds have put out though. Beckford is playing though and Leeds have a free kick on the edge of the box .......

I've been quite impressed by Everton. Liverpool are just rubbish atm.

 Leeds fans with their shirts off and waving them around. By doing this does this make them think they are better fans than people that don't?

Fat boy Roper. He looks like they picked him out the crowd and handed him the shirt.

When you're as stuck for creative options as Everton are, then you play to your strengths. All they have left is battlers and Pienaar. They're lacking Arteta for a start, which iirc most RFC fans on here put in their top five midfielders in the Premiership. When he's in Everton's midfield, he runs it.

Thoroughly unconvincing win for Liverpool. Distinctly dodgy in defence, a midfield with a huge weak link in the woefully inadequate Lucas, and an attack that is as potent as a 90 year old man's erection. Everton had opportunities, and lacked a little bit of luck when it was needed. Liverpool had the luck and took one of only two opportunities that arose. Even then there was the element of luck with Howard's save right into the path of Kuyt.

If you weren't a plastic, you'd have seen Roper play a few times for Walsall against Reading in the past.

Chelsea looked annoyingly efficient at the Emirates. Soaked up typical Arsenal pressure and hit them with not one but two sucker punches just before half time, that scrote of a man Ashley Cole play a big part in both goals.

I also see Andre Marriner is still a shockingly weak referee...

Agreed. We should have had at least two penalties.

Barca go 1-0 up. Just seen Zlatan's goal on SSN. No chance for the 'keeper! Lovely movement!
