Ian Royal What happens if you've got fewer than 10 players over 21? The way that's worded it seems you'd be in trouble. Unlikely I know, but still, it's almost punishing a team for having a very young squad.
I make qualifiers: Armstrong, Mills, Tabb, Hunt, McAnuff, Church, Hamer, Pearce, Andersen, & Howard. Which is exactly 10. Oh and possibly Williams who isn't on the squad list yet.
Henry, Karacan, Sigurdsson, Robson-Kanu & Cummings I think all borderline old enough and I can't be arsed to work it out from the start of the season and based on their birth month. Long possibly missing out by a matter of a few months. Bignall, Taylor et al under 21 so judging by the article don't qualify.
Not qualifying:
Federici, Cisse, Gunnarsson, Matejovsky, Long, Ingimarsson, Mooney, Kebe & Rasiak.

AthleticoSpizz seemples...from Prem to Conference
radical but
have as many foreign born players as you like in your squad/academy/injured table
But you can only field 5 or maybe 6 of them each game (including subs)
In a couple of seasons the England team will start seeing more than the usual suspects/crocks/overpaid celebrities

Wasn't that the original rule that had to be scrapped because it is illegal (restraint of trade).

Joking aside, where is that "restraint of trade"?...clubs and their human rightests can pay as many wages as they like to their foreign born players....they just cannot field them all at the same time in the English leagues.
A tough ask but for the good of English football....maybe a long term necessity

Barry the bird boggler As has been mentioned we are well safe on this as I think is every league club in the country so not exactly a hardship for anyone.

Is this quite as clear cut as you suggest?
Take Mikel Andersen as an example. He was 21 on 17th December 2009. He was first registered on 1st January 2007 so he had not had 3 seasons registered by the time he got to 21.
On the same basis I don't think Jobi McAnuff qualifies either
Or am I misinterpreting what it says?
Noel Hunt had only been registerd in Scotland for a few months when he was 21

Yes I think it is clear cut.
Mikkel Anderson is a couple of weeks short of qualifying as home grown, Jobi McAnuff was born in England so I'm sure he qualifies even if he didn't register before he was 18 because he didn't come from another country and Noel Hunt was registered in Ireland and then Scotland so he definately doesn't qualify.

Soccerbase shows Jobi McAnuff's nationality as Jamaican and I guess Andersen does not qualify even if only by a few weeks. On your figures that means we are now down to a maximum of 8.
