SPECULATION: the third TDD signing

McD claims that we tried to bring in a third player on Monday but, for whatever reason, the deal fell through. I thought it would be worth starting a thread to mindless speculate who that last minute signing could have been.

Hasn't this been done to death already? Fordham claims it wasn't Fryatt, and he was spot on with all his updates on deadline day.
Latest news suggests we will bring in two more players on loan when the window opens next week.

I posted on TDD that a player resembling Mackail-Smith was at the ground. Unfortunately my source wasn't sure what he looked like, just he had curly blonde longish hair.

If the club tried to bring in a striker I think they should make this public, as it would at least show some intent to replace Siggy.

We did make an offer for somebody else. We were close but we couldn’t do it and we missed out. I can’t say who but we know who is available and won’t bring in a player in haste.

Just wonder if that implies somebody beat us to whoever it was.

Maybe they want to keep the details quiet to not make the player known to the whole world and other potential clubs, with the loan market about to open etc...
