I dunno mate. I just don't think he'd be consistent enough. Maybe if we were 100% sure Siggy was going and we were priming him for this role but at the time selling him made perfect sense. Big earner, did very little.

If he could have filled the Sigurdsson role he would have shown a lot more of it before he left. always seemed about the sweet pass to space, whereas Siggy took people on and shot for goal.

Overhit every cross, squandered almost every opportunity. In that second half, I genuinely cannot remember one occasion where he did anything right. I'm being deadly serious too.
