Ian Royal Just think, he could be on 7 if he took all our penalties.

Have already pointed this out to my m8 I've got the bet on with.

FWIW, Hull away is in 7 games time so I reckon there's still time for Harte to get to the magical 10 as per my original post... 8)

Watched that again last night.

If it was deliberate it was an amazing ball, it curved round and over the defender

Or was it just a hoof into the channels and we got lucky?

He was aiming it in that direction, but he certainly got lucky with the ball flight and distance even if he was intending to play that ball.

Noce control by Shane with his arm as well. Lucky for his the ref was behind him and couldn't see, unlike the fans behind the goal who had a perfect view.

Harte is 7/2 to score at any time tomorrow or 11s to score first with Coral. I've plunked £5 on Harte to score first 8)

After that early flurry do we think he will get 10 goals?
Once again yesterday (even Snowball remarked upon it)he let his man just walk by him twice without the semblance of a tackle and that was just on the TV highlights.
Surely Armstrong will reclaim his rightful place soon otherwise we know it will cost us keeping Harte in the side.

Think he'll last until he's woeful or Howard comes back in to take up some of the set piece duty we'd miss.

Had he been our OFFICIAL penalty-taker (Mac's orders) he'd probably be on 8 (+ 2 for Carlisle) by now, very healthy.

Are we getting less shooting-possibility FC's recently? Can't remember many.

Getting skinned is not the end of the world. After all McAnuff and Kebe do it to FBs all the time,
but the ease (and Harte didn't seem to care) yesterday was very worrying.

Might do good to play Armstrong, even if only to remind Harte of his responsibilities.

But let's not forget our defensive record is still VG with Harte playing (18 in 16, 12 of those in 4 games)

He's a defender FFS. His main duty is to defend.
Perhaps you should go on wikipedia or webster online and look up the meaning of the word.

So when Kebe skins an opposition FB do they sack him?

It's the job of wingers to skin FBs. Virtually all FBs get skinned in some games

and was there some reason you omited the other half of that paragraph?

Here it is for you, bolded, as you obviously missed it

That second bit is very pertinent and, whilst wingers do skin FBs, the ease with which they and other players on occasions do it to Harte is worrying.

He is unbelievably slow for a professional.

I think he must have an aura about him because not enough wingers seem to really run at him
(unless he's even cleverer than I think)

Been saying for a while tho', that if wingers really go for him, he's in trouble. Most don't

They say "Mannone flapped at it" but it was a difficult free-kick, more credit to Harte

No disrespect to Long but I agree. Normally I wouldn't necessarily say this after a player misses one penalty but now keepers have noticed Shane always puts them the same way I would avoid the dilemma he would now have when taking his next kick, especially as Harte is a specialist. Long will take the next one however unless he doesn't want to and he has a good record overall so hopefully will be fine.

Of course if he is on the pitch Brian Howard is also a specialist and I think I am right in saying has only ever missed one of his last ten, unfortunately it was the only one we were bovvered about.

I don't think I could watch Howard take a penalty

Big Foot Harte got the assist to the assist for our goal at Watford.

Really? He passed to Long who crossed for Hunt, yes? So it's Long's assist?
