Personally I think we would have taken more than 2,800 even without the free travel offer. Comparing the game to Burnley in the playoffs or the Liverpool replay is ridiculous. With the Burnley game we'd just suffered the disappointment of missing out on automatic promotion and Burnley away isn't exactly the most attractive tie, playoffs or not. Liverpool was midweek and snow stopped many fans from going. They should have compared the game to either Arsenal in the League Cup or Man Utd in the FA Cup, both of which we took about 5k to. I wonder if the club had a choice of either 2,800 tickets or the full 6,000, or could they have got, say, 4,000?

If I renewed my season ticket today would I get the points in time for tomorrow or do they only count from next season?

Kitsondinho
Toon Toon Blue army
Harpers So Solid Crew Man City online ticket site is busy as hell, limited availablity in the lower Tiers next to the Reading fans, 116 almost gone about 20 left there, similar in 111,and they have only been on general sale for an hour, I can see them opening the 3rd tiers at this rate, seems Man City got it all wrong too. Won't be much chance of home seats for Reading fans at this rate.

Just got a ticket in the Man City end

That'll be why it is so busy on their ticketing site, it is all the Royals fans with 600 to 1599 Royalty points making sure they get a ticket!!

I think as many of you should do this as possible, more Reading fans with a ticket in the home end before Tuesday means I've got a better chance of getting an away ticket

After almost 4 hours on general sale it appears that the Man C have almost sold out, available seems to mean about 10% left in a block, limited is sold all and mostly singles. There are now just 5 blocks availablre, and the rest is limited or sold out, third tier has plenty of time to sell still if they open that tomorrow to home fans.

Agreed, if they went on sale tomorrow they could open the top tiers.

So which one are we all going for?? Colin Bell or Easy stand?? :)

Perhaps RFC should see if they can get one of the 3rd tiers, 4000 seats a 25 a pop, 100k no free travel, would YOU take the risk?

Let me figure this out.

If Man City sell all the tickets, then they will open an extra tier? Does that mean Reading will get an extra allocation?

So is there any chance Reading will get an extra allocation?

The trouble is if Man City now open the top tiers they have already relocated the season ticket holders from those seats, can't imagine that will go down well.

Not a 100% no, but pretty much a 99% no.

Will all the tickets be sold within the first points bracket?

There's no way they would allow a second away section in one of the closed tiers. Too many safety issues etc

I would imagine a very large proportion of them.

This forum is only the opinions of a small percentage of fans, it depends how many others away from this forum have clocked onto renewing season tickets to boost their points totals.

Surely there are 2800 fans with 1600+ points?

Can't see many being left for midnight....300-400 max.

What a fcuking shambles. Beggars belief that 2-3k RFC fans that want to go won't be able to. Screw the coach travel...I'm sure most of us would happily make our own way there if everyone who wanted a ticket could get one.

I really hope we earn a replay so those who missed out can get another chance to go.

Buy a season ticket, get the pts, book man city tickets, cancel season ticket.

Club gets what it deserves.
