Hardly. The club has evolved and moved a million light years forward since moving. Remind me of the pubs near Elm Park that would be heaving an hour or two after a home game? Reading fans have never been the loudest nor most demonstrative. That's just the way we are.

howser No doubt i will be slated on this opinion, but I like Warnock, whenever he speaks about Reading, he is full of praise for us about the team, manager and on how a well run club we are, I think if QPR were found guilty of the charges and were deducted points he would walk away from them, if this happens then I have to admit that I will feel for him, to be involved in two situations like this, as he will have been, and to be effectively the innocent party, would be hard for him to swallow. In reality if they are found guilty of flouting the league rules then recent history dictates that they will have to lose points, and due to the length of time that this has been going on and the amount of games that Fourlan has been involved in, then it should be a substantial points loss.

hes on the record as saying we are everything he dislikes about a modern football club

Good Lord, Colin and I actually agree about something. As it happens I was around Shepherds Bush a couple of hours after their game last Saturday evening and the pubs were busy inside and out with supporters singing and celebrating. Total contrast to the RFC experience where the middle class fan base melts away into the night towards Calcot or Lower Earley. The heart of this club was torn away with the move from Elm Park.

As it happens I rubbed shoulders with QPR fans again this week on the train back from Yorkshire. I must make a reappraisal from my earlier view. They were all boorish, loud annd totally hammered. Hundreds of em, a total disgrace. Forget there were a few Barnsley and Swinedon fans involved, there is no need for this kind of behaviour. Honestly, I am convinced these guys are more keen on the beer than the football. Next time I shall intervene....and report them to the guard. You never encounter Reading fans behaving like this, no siree.....

er, no idea tbh, Jeff. I've been reading up on away friendly pubs. That one is not there.

I'll be meeting REX, hopefully, so I'll go where he goes. Quite a few other nobbers are announced too. It'll be a proper meat up.

Recommended is the "Notts County Supporters Club" .

Speaking with a friend of mine in the FA he seems to think that this will not make any effect to this seasons postion, and that they will do all they can to stall the investigation till way into next season, even then the out come will mre than likley go in favour of QPR as opposed to against them

"...this will not have any effect on this season's position ...." or "...this will not affect this season's position...."

(Not to mention the lack of any punctuation!)

Anyway, that aside, if the FA is so toothless that it cannot force the issue this season then QPR deserve to get away with it. Assuming that your friend is 'in the know' it would be interesting to get a view on why the FA feels that it can allow a club to dictate the pace at which an investigation takes place.

I would hope that anyone in a postion of influence and/or in the know at the FA would not be discussing this case in advance with people outside their organisation. But thereagain we are talking football and the FA here! Little concept of fair play, justice and justice being seen to be done!

IF the FA is so toothless??? i thought that was a well established fact that they were already???

appart from when it comes to punishing little clubs that is, then theyll happily slap points deductions and fines on them that'll damn near put them out of business!!

QPR will get away with it, Cardiff will get away with their bending rules and the whole sorry state of club will continue unchallenged, I wonder what would happen if RFC were to spunk thousands on third party transfers?

Ideal Don't be naive.
You think no one in the FA have been receiving backhanders?!
Of course they are taking bungs.

No they're not - or not as overtly as you allege.

But what they do do is like the perks that come with the blazer, so they tend to hang on for as long as possible and to vote down anything progressive that might affect their status.

If QPR are trying to save Premiership status ( 30 million ) or FIne ( 5 million )
what's a few grand to a couple of numptie farts... if they bribe for their status I HOPE THAT a fcucking decent investigative journalist uncovers the crime and they all end up behind bars, where they belong :|

FA - a subsidiary of FIFA

FIFA - open to anything that will ensure its members enjoy a life of luxury, which under the tyrant Blatter, they have become all too accustomed to during his tenure, and the reason why the Mohamed bin Hammam who is challenging Blatter for the top post doesnt have a cat in hells chance...

Back to FA - as open to persuasion as FIFA ...and they serve no effective purpose at all in our football organisation ......they also further damage Englands credentials and further isolation from FIFA by already giving their public support for Mohamed bin Hammam

Bunch of t o s s e r s

Just out of interest, what's your experience of the FA, at any level, to have come these conclusions?

What makes you think they have no effective purpose in our football?

Whats a few grand for a jail sentence? really... I'd rather not get sacked, my reputation tarnished and then possibly be put in prison over a few thousand, expecially when these people probably make a lot as it is.

They bent the rules at the start of the season regarding transfers whilst still up sh*t creek financially and I'd happily guess still are!
