Also we just beat Pompey who had won seven of their last nine, losing only one.

PNE have won their last 3. I would not be surprised if they went away with a hard earned point. 0-0.

This is exactly the kind of game the "old" Reading would lose. So it'll be 4-0 to us then! :D

Good Point.

And, no matter how well they are currently playing, Preston's first eleven
isn't as good as Pompey's

And they are hard to beat away but under Brown tend to draw a lot

Away Record under Phil Brown

A 1-1 Middlesbrough
A 0-2 Barnsley
A 0-1 Hull
A 2-2 Watford
A 2-2 Nottm Forest
A 1-1 Norwich
A 3-0 Scunthorpe

P7 W1 D4 L2 9-9

I don't think we can read much into winning at Scunthorpe but draws at Watford and Norwich are VG. Drawing at Forest? Hard to say as they are in free-fall

Reading v Preston
Portsmouth v Preston, 15:00
Doncaster v Preston, 19:45
Preston v Sheff Utd, 15:00
Millwall v Preston, 17:20
Preston v Cardiff, 15:00
Ipswich v Preston, 15:00
Preston v Watford, 12:45

Us and Cardiff are their toughest games left, Phil Brown will know that defeat tonight will not really be that bad with that run in.
