westongeezer
West Stand Man
westongeezer Speaking with a friend of mine in the FA he seems to think that this will not make any effect to this seasons position, and that they will do all they can to stall the investigation till (until) way into next season, even then the out come will more than likley (likely) go in favour of QPR as opposed to against them

"...this will not have any effect on this season's position ...." or "...this will not affect this season's position...."

(Not to mention the lack of any punctuation!)

Anyway, that aside, if the FA is so toothless that it cannot force the issue this season then QPR deserve to get away with it. Assuming that your friend is 'in the know' it would be interesting to get a view on why the FA feels that it can allow a club to dictate the pace at which an investigation takes place.

OMG, forgive my erroneous spelling and grammer errors, how terrible of me to make such dramatic errors!,the friend i have works within one the FA's mutli faceted departments, the comment about stalling is in reagard to QPR delaying the case, not the FA, and that QPR'S defense would claim they unaware of any miss dealings..... Now get back and recheck the new Headline pages for any other crimes to written English and grammer for christ sakes! fast!

defense? Are you an American?!

BTW, talking of erroneous spelling, don't you mean 'grammar' or indeed 'grammatical errors'?!

I hate deliberate mis-spellings on here (as in txt spk) but the sustained ritual humiliation of those with poor grammar / spelling (probably through no particular fault of their own) is one of the least attractive features of HNA? (And there are lots to choose from.)

Hearing starts May 3rd according to SSN.........

Interesting they'll be promoted well before then - what will happen if they are docked points?

They'll be deducted just enough points to finish in the automatic places.

Yes, hearing confirmed for May 3rd - and expected to last upto 3 days, so will potentially end on the Friday before the final round of games.

Could be very, very, interesting timing!

Well if what has been said is true then they should have a big points deduction. I guess it just comes down to the FA having the balls to punish them suitably and drop them into the play-off places - if even that.

Correcting a chavvy miss-spelling with another chavvy miss-spelling. You're so cool.

You're weird even replying to that, he was attempting to mock the post after some on here. Everyone puts "h8", not h8t...sound the 8 out ffs. I don't use either.

What's interesting is that it'll keep QPR playing balls out until the end, which could work in our favour whatever the outcome for them.

Would it be surprising if their punishment =
QPR's point total at the time of the announcement - the point total of the 3rd place team at the time + 1?

Meaning they would be stripped of the title but still be given auto-promotion to the prem?

If that turns out to be some bizarre figure like 11 points or 13 points, it would look utterly silly.

Another point. Say there is a deduction which genuinely matters (eg dropping them out of automatic or
even out of the top six, (or relegated), will they have the right of appeal?

If the above happened and then they appealed, one or more clubs wouldn't know if they had been promoted or not, or made the POs

Which means, surely, that the league will have to something which doesn't hurt them much.

Or perhaps they can insist on an appeal withing a week?

A week decision by the FA to leave the hearing until the last hour of the season. The hearing should be now then all the clubs chasing promotion and the play offs would know where they stand with seven games to play.

The decison will be a FINE only!!!!
