LOL @ Tredder taking so much bait. What a tw@... your club has broken the rules and must be punished - if the FA don't have the stomach to deny you promotion then every other club will KNOW you have cheated to get there... enjoy it biatch.

Just one point to add to this on this .... if QPR didn't have Alejandro Faurlin keeping Leighterwood out of the team, he'd not be available for us to have on loan. Then where would we be?

I still think we would have been challenging without Leigertwood. One player doesn't make a team. He has been important but so have a number of other players.

Two sides to this coin, as who's to say where QPR would be without his services. There's no guarantee that Leighterwood would've played as well for them as he has for us.

Think the Suns "exclusive" in yesterdays paper will have helped QPRs cause, simply because the FA have strongly denied that anything has come from an FA source ,and has completely disassociated itself from the article....

....this being the case, it would be embarrassing for them for any penalty IF found guilty to agree with the Suns article -otherwise yet more egg - on-face for FA.

Assuming they get a point today, I would imagine that QPR fan's celebrations will feel a bit hollow as, however much they tell themselves that it's not going to happen, deep down there will be that lingering doubt.

If I were a QPR fan I would find it quite un nerving that apart from this forum nobody has really had much to say about a points deduction, then all of a sudden, when QPR are about to supposedly clinch promotion, the national media are all over it!

Briatore is an honourable man, he will accept the punishment and just get on with it. He would hate to be tainted by accusations of deliberate falsehood.

I may need to recheck my facts about Briatore, but I'm 99% sure one way or the other

Milton was great non stop laughter
"Wolfgang Mozart" cried his friend

"What" said Mozart

Shortly afterwards he was eaten by wolves

This has probably been mentioned but I take it we don't actually want QPR to get a points deduction for this season.... With Cardiff highly unlikely to lose both their remaining games any points deduction for QPR could end in us playing them in the semis???

SymonsO I was listening to 5 live just now and one of the presenters on the football side of things strongly believes they are going to get a points deduction. Don't know who the presenter was but I recognised his voice as one of the older football commentators/reporters...

His reasoning was that a fine is not a deterrent to wealthy clubs and that it would be a dangerous precedent not to dock points.

Also thinks that it will drag out a short while and it may result in the play off dates being changed while its figured out who plays who etc (if the deduction puts QPR in the playoffs).

if thats the case, It will probably be carefully calculated that they get a points deduction that will take away the title but give them 2nd spot ...there is no way that the playoffs are going to be changed to accommodate imho

Don't forget, if we get QPR in the play offs we can't play Leigertwood.

Anyway, personally I'd deduct them enough points to ensure they finish 7th.

If the FA deduct them enough points to put them in the playoffs, they'll be praying QPR win them. Avoids lawsuits from anyone then so would be the perfect outcome!

They could suspend all appeals until the playoffs are done. Which is why this 15 point deduction sounds like it could be the fudge they were looking for; no-one could argue it wasn't a deterrent, but they also leave the door open for QPR to have a second crack at promotion, whilst third place don't sue.
