You need to be more specific. How many beans and how magic are they?

The answer is in a story far better than anything you've ever written.

When have Reading ever revealed exactly what they got for a player?

Fairy Nuff, but we usually get given a good idea.

As I said, if there's nothing that official we'll take the average of a few more sensible papers, the BBC and SSN

Didn't they state that Doyle was 6 million?

Might as well add a few million on to any guess of the "real" figure then

I am happy to play and help a charity. You have my guess on a price, but in all honesty I think we win the play-offs and he stays. :D

I am 90% certain that the OS stated Kitson was £5.5m when he went to Stoke.

Would that include add-ons?

More than likely. Transfers are usually paid in installments and add-ons nowadays.
If I recall correctly, when Kitson came back on loan Hammond said that it was one of the hardest deals he ever worked out because of all the bonuses and installments and we took a few off his price to get him back.

Oh and if you want the original article

Reading Football Club have completed the transfer of striker Dave Kitson to Stoke City for £5.5million.
