Wycombe Royal
NR_Royal On another note, McDermott was just on SSN chatting about Villas-Boas (I don't know why either  ). I laughed when he said there was a time when he woke up at 3 am convinced that he was a Premier League manager...

Villas-Boas used to be a scout when he was at Chelsea and obviosuly McD was our scout. I'm guessing they met and talked a few times for work purposes........

Not sure if you are aware of this article. Didn't realise his old man, sadly, was sick too. Hoping a few cheeky wins will help.

Rodgers already has a timeline mapped; targets given extra urgency by the loss of his mother Christina to a heart attack at 53 last year and the fact that his father Malachy is in the latter stages of throat cancer. Those personal ordeals have cast a shadow over the proudest moments of his professional career.
‘My Dad has battled but he is struggling now,’ he says. ‘It was his 59th birthday on Thursday and I have to accept it is the last one he will ever see. It’s just a matter of weeks. But he’ll see me manage in the Premier League, which I’m thankful for. We cried about that the other day.’

Well we are 12/1 to win and Tevez earnt more than we did as a club in 2010 so you may be right.

I'll be there singing my heart out whether we win or lose whilst you'll be watching it over a shandy in the Twigg.

Class team? Wooooah! They turned over a newly promoted team 4-0. Which was expected really.

I think we've ascertained by now that Rodgers owns McDermott, of course. But I'd far rather have a drink with Brian than Brendan. There was a good article in the Mail ( ) earlier this season ridiculing Brendan's psychobable. That said, he's in the Prem and they might even stay up whilst Reading are appalingly bad to watch. But I don't warm to Rodgers. Shifty.

Got it totally wrong here, but he's doing better than I thought he would with Swansea, I didn't think they'd be able to keep up a strong defensive record. Decent manager, who talks shit and needs to go into a club with the right set up to do well.

He deflects the attention from his team much like Mourinho, gets his teams playing football the right way and uses the media to his advantage particularly in the transfer market...all signs of a good manager. I've got a lot of respect for your opinions Floyd which is more than can be said for many on here, but surely you can see what Rodgers does?
