Haven't read this thread but I just read on the ref's report (not public) that the 2nd pen was given for shirt pulling of which there was none.

The 2nd penalty was very soft - maybe there was a little bit of contact but the way HRK went over was a bit too theatrical for me

Somebody has to do the diving now that Long has gone-step up HRK.

Don't get me wrong I wasn't complaining but it didn't sit right with the Corinthian in me and at the time I said it was a dive.

It's just that we were so dominant that I believed we deserved to get something out of the game.

Re the penalties, Hunt's and Harte's weren't that bad but the latter at least should have had his retaken.
Showed up excellently in HRK's effort by the way he stuttered his run up and the keeper had already come forward and left before he'd kicked the ball.
Good technique and learnt from the previous two SKs.

Because they are running a business moreso than wanting to fulfil people's entertainment requirements

So what happens to the "business" when all the customers get fed up of being screwed over?

To be honest I'd rather pay more to watch a club that are really going for it than pay less to watch a club going through the motions.

On your own there chap, so you'd need to be paying about £10k a game.

I always consider value rather than cost. Quite happy to pay a premium price for a premium product.

Further thoughts on the game having watched the highlights and stayed away from here for a few days are that we got 3 pretty soft penalties.

Harte was at least as responsible as Pearce for the second goal. Yet again he wasn't covering the centre half who was rightly moving to the right to (along with Khumalo) cover the space Gunnarsson had left. The ease at which their player exploited the space between full back and centre half is quite worrying, hence the purchase of Mills I suppose.

The sight of two of our players having a tug or war over a penalty yet again is another worry for me. Coppell was much the same in the way he wanted players to sort it out for themselves but I've never agreed that these things should be left for discussion on the field. Harte is our best penalty taker and so should take the penalties unless he feels he shouldn't (ie injured or having a 'mare).

Losing to Barnsley isn't the real issue at play either. It's the lack of momentum, options, quality, call it what you like, we currently don't have enough in the squad to give McDermott the best chance of progressing.

Furthermore, doing so much of our business this late in the day isn't the hallmarks of a well run club.
