Terminal Boardom Likes a tackle does Mr Taylor.

That game against Wolves in 94/5 was one of the best I saw at EP. Full house, tv cameras, abuse of the FSB, great goals and even better volleys.

I could watch that all day long (3' 04" in)

LOL

That's me (the taller kid) on the left as the players are coming out of the tunnel

Ian Royal Why was McGhee getting abuse in that game? Because it was on TV so he might be watching?

Assuming that you are being serious, it was our first game after MM walked out of the club to go to Leicester with Colin Lee and Mike Hickman.

There was a brilliant chant at Filbert St the following season:

"Scott Taylor's a w@nker and so is Mark McGhee
Mike Hickman's a fvcking cvnt and so is Colin Lee"

Without a doubt the most hostile and volatile away support I have ever experienced watching Reading

Hoop Blah That was his natural position yes, but when we played 5-3-2 in the play-off losing season he was usually one of the 3 in the middle with Gilkes and Bernal as the wingbacks.

Fair point, but that formation was only used - disastrously - in the first half of a game at Watford and then binned until the (admittedly successful) run-in though.

Didn't realise it was the first game after he went. I was confused coz he didn't join Wolves until after that season.

I forgot about that chant. That was a crap away stand! I was in the left corner and I can remember the stewards being very heavy handed during the game. That was over half my life ago now. :|

Yeah, for God's sake Ian! You are supposed to remember every single detail of every game, and the how they fit into the entire timeline of your support for the club, and back beyond that as well.

Otherwise, stay off the Team Board you imbecile.

Steady on old chap. The clue is in the first 5 seconds of the Youtube clip which clearly states that this was the first game after McGhee left.

Can't use youtube at work. And back then I'd only just started paying attention to Reading in the Evening Post and Final Score. My first game was still months away.

Not that I'm trying to justify myself to you, I have absolutely no need, or desire to.
