FiNeRaIn People should refuse to play them. What if clubs get injuries for a game they may not even get points for? What a joke.

Also fans who bought tickets for those games should get refunds...seeing as it doesnt count.

Same thing applies with Rangers north of the border.

Yep, and what about players who have served suspensions for Red Cards in games played agaianst Portsmouth? I think those games should be replayed as well.

That said, i cant think of any other way thats fairer.

yes it does, but that was a pathetic attempt at a wind up I might add. People like you who take issues with the poster and not the post itself really degrade hna.

No Fixed Abode But Reading would be rewarded for losing against Portsmouth and West Ham would be punished for beating them twice.

Oh dear, how sad, never mind!

It's not going to matter anyway as Portsmouth won't fold before the end of the season.

No wind up, a genuine comment, the situation is the same if Rangers are in danger of being "expunged". I have no issue with you.

It's sponsorship money all clubs get, not an extra payment.

Normally they get it at the end of the season, but they have just been given it now so they can get to the end of the season.

Silver Fox RwC - I will of course concede that if results were expunged the West Ham points total at that time would reduce by 3 pts more than ours, but that's the short term. I believe there's a famous phrase regarding the length of a season.

And seasons change on the kick of a single ball into a goal. Totally agreed that you still have to gain all the other points but I think we've all flogged this one to death. If it comes down to us being 2 points behind West Ham in 3rd at the end of the season and Pompey's record is expunged (great word) then we will be promoted. If it doesn't then it's irrelevant.

Still, doesn't look like this is going to happen now (expungement not promotion).

No they haven't. They will get £200k per month as per all other clubs, the FL were going to withhold the money but have agreed not too. This isn't extra money.

portsmouth have signed derby striker chris maguire on loan. that will hardly lift their supporters.

at least this time around their not bringing in premiership strikers on premiership wages.

@JamesNursey: Expecting #Pompey exodus in next few days. #WHUFC definitely want keeper Henderson & defender Pearce. #ReadingFC after Hayden Mullins

apparently pearce & henderson not playing today. looks a done deal.
