The people who are quoting numbered rows brought their tickets online so that 'row' will almost likely be the one they're not on as the tickets have letters for the rows.

It's the block - like we would say Y24 etc.

Checking an old ticket, the Sir Trevor Brooking stand (former Centenary Stand) goes past or up to EE.
