Royal Lady Two different people who know people "in the know" have told me (weeks ago) that this takeover was hanging in the balance.

Well I hope you/they are wrong. As mentioned, Samuelson was seen talking to SJM on Saturday and both were all smiles.

Royal Lady If JM asks for more money and TSI say no, what has he lost? The money for Roberts is a loan, which we should be able to repay just from a play off game or three!

Then we have to sell one or two key players to fill the annual black hole, and that in turn will lead to others wanting out, and quite rightly so. We return to being where we were pre-TSI (going backwards), and we will also lose McDermott in no time as well. Throw in a lot of frustration from non-understanding fans and we would be in for a very bumpy ride.

TSI have lost nothing but face - but Samuelson is used to that anyway.

I'll believe it when I see it, I've never been 100% convinced. If it goes through, we should be careful what we wish for....

If this a proper sale process and has reached the due diligence process then I doubt TSI will have not left JM in a position whereby he can legally/contractually up the price at this stage.

Offer will have been made and accepted on the basis that nothing significantly different from that already portrayed by the seller surfaces during the due diligence process.

ZacNaloen Take overs are always "hanging in the balance", there's a lot on the line for both parties

Precisely.

As for the whole "people in the know". I very much doubt that more than just a few individuals know what is happening and this information will not leak out. The deal will happen. I'm more concerned about the result coming from East Anglia this evening than I am about what Anton is thinking/doing.

ZacNaloen Ian Wood Smith and JM are the directors according to the ever reliable Wiki

I thought there were more directors than that but obviously not. Anyway, I can confirm that it was definitely one of them.

Fordham claiming a TSI upd8 from SJM will be in the post tomorrow. Indicates that everything is going smoothly.

I don't think it indicates anything except that Fordham has a TSI update

I've just read the last 7 or 8 pages (couldn't be bothered to read the entire thread) and all I can say is that the Rouge is being a massive bender for trying to be ITK when he isn't really.

He said it's from SJM. SJM is hardly going to say to him 'it's all gone tits up, I want more cash and AZ is actually the head of the mafia' is he? :|

I heard yesterday that these people once said they were going to buy Everton but pulled out of the deal right at the last minute. Not sure if this is reliable but very worrying if true :?

Funnily enough Adi Williams mentioned it this morning on BBC Berks - he said he'd asked the club what is happening and they hadn't responded.
