Royal Lady "NO-ONE CAN DEFINITIVELY ANSWER" - thank you! So no-one knows for sure, yet people cream themselves over something they're told by a "reliable source". And YOU bang on like you're the bloody RFC oracle or something. Therefore, all the stick I and others have been given for what we have been told is completely unjustified, UNTIL such time as we know DEFINITIVELY what the hell is going on.

No one knows for sure, but most the real evidence points to a positive outcome. But you carry on worrying about bugger all and desperately seeking ways to twist what info we have into the negative if it makes you feel better. Just don't be surprised if you get told you're tiresome.

No one can definitively answer goes without saying for most people.

Corrected so that your second sentence doesn't contradict the first... ;)

Out of interest, do our russians know the russians who have just taken over at Bournemouth? We're favourites to go down with SkyBet, and there favourites to go up from League One!!!!

I reckon it'll be next week......

Just had a chat with someone who I implicitly trust and it seems the deal is very close indeed (if not already done)....

Had I won the £71 million Euro lottery last night, I would have paid off SJM and asked for a seat on the board. I might win it next week though.

I did, and I have, but I won't be announcing it until next week.

Was tongue in cheek - I'm told that said person I trust believes the deal is now signed and sealed - not been told officially, but the signs are there.
Hence I think it will, indeed be signed next week....

Incidentally, the club were looking at land for a new, purpose built, training site near Maidenhead this week - also points to confidence that the deal is going ahead...

That ties in with Friday's_Legacy's update last week that the proof of funds was done and the Premier League were happy.

Sweet.

^ That also explains why the club changed their mind about land at Hogwood (re: Tokyo Sex Whale a few pages back)

This definitely sounds true. They sent a request to land agents 4-6weeks specifying what they were looking for.

Schards#2 Due to the investment of TSI, we were able to strengthen the squad in a way that we would not have without them. IMHO, this was the catalyst for automatic promotion which would not have happened without it. Therefore, it seems odd to suggest that, in future, whether TSI is involved or not makes little difference, history would suggest it does.

So McDermott is a Coppell clone doomed to repeat SC's mistakes and Madejski and Hammond will have learned nothing from our previous tenure? A small gamble on promotion was fair enough, but I have no desire to see the club's long term indebtedness increased to pay player wages and transfer fees.

Hmmm, that's very interesting that they're looking to leave Hogwood. Apart from the portakabins, everything else is pretty well established. Can only think that the extra land they might need for the Academy is now not available due to the Army's indecision with Arborfield or TSI would rather they owned the training ground rather than lease from SJM.

If true it just sounds like they want a purpose built training facility for the academy which, if we're aiming for Category 1 status, doesn't come as a great surprise. A lot of clubs with developed academies have separate sites for the first team squad and the kids.

I really like the way TSI are approaching ownership, building from the bottom up. First team players will come and go and the club will no doubt have good seasons and seasons where we struggle and are relegated. But with sound foundations in place, financially too, we should always be in a position to bounce back and not slide down the football ladder like so many clubs following a golden generation (relatively speaking) leaving the club or retiring.
