winchester_royal Right, enough squabbling, how do we all think Rodgers is going to do at Liverpool?

I think he'll have them back in the top 4 within two years.

That won't be any good to him. He'll have to get them into the top two to go straight back up at the first attempt...

The Prisoner Whilst the rocket scientist may study the role of the gods in forsoothing another victory for the mighty royals in the face of adversity those in the know have nailed the source of the problem.

Buy/Loan/Steal two decent fooking strikers and never play Pearce again as long as ye shall live.

Amen.
Wonder if he's taken his book to Liverpool?

Yep. The Scousers have removed the cover, and placed it with their collection of leather....which includes the Leather jacket I lost on Merseyside, when we played Tranmere (Playoff semi!?)

The reason it was easily stolen, is Bodger was very busy protecting his massive Rolex from the locals.

Despite his success at Swansea, and his appointment at Liverpool, I'm glad that clown is nowhere near my football club now.

There are a few teams who with the right run of results at certain times might have challenged for 4th, so no reason imho that 4th isn't a realistic target for next season.

City and Utd are out of sight. Chelsea will be far stronger, Arsenal too, if Spurs lose Modric/Bale you might have a shot at 5th.

It sounds like he's turned over the page to the chapter on 'how to win over your new fans' - going on about the history of the club and how they've won as much as great European teams like Barcelona, Juventus, AC Milan etc...yawn...the way they played last season at times was pretty shambolic and that was with the Legend, King Kenny in charge...can't see how he will be able to turn things around before the fans lose patience...

But you gotta love Rodgers for his ability to talk up things...he's only gone to Liverpool to further his ever increasing bank balance...simple as that...it's all about Rodgers as per normal...

Not very realistic IMO, there's no way you can get as high as 4th in half a season after bringing in a replacement manager in January, because you're 13th.

He is quite clearly motivated by success. We are all motivated by money. Anyway, get this off the team board.

Rodgers will be toast by the end of the season or before. Just hope he leaves Siggy alone, another wrong move a la Hoffenheim ,could finish him as a player.

I wish him all the best, but hope we carry on our good run of form against the scousers.

The overwhelming majority of people in football have tremendous egos, I think we need people like that. And underneath it all, I think he's probably a decent enough chap.

Wonder which of the Reading squad he'll sign for Liverpool.

Almost seems a repeat of the Reading appointment, except on a 'bigger' scale.
Same philosophy with his tactics and style and the ' so called time ' available to implement them.
But will he get anymore time at Liverpool than he did at Reading while these tactics get an airing or
will the fans react as they did at Reading Swansea was already playing 'his' style, how will Liverpool
react?. I'm curious as to how he'll go.

Of course you can.

Liverpool, for all their failings last season where only a few goals at home short of being up there with Newcastle, who themselves went through big changes last summer and were within touching distance of nicking 4th.

It's not easy of course, but it is achievable if things go well for them.

This.

It's all ifs and buts of course, but Liverpool won only 5 or 6 home games last season. Make that, say, 11 home wins out of 19, which you would have to say would be considered a minimum expectation of Liverpool (and probably no more than they normally achieve) and that's 10 extra points.

I may be wrong, but I think IR was making a funny about Brendan being sacked in January.
