Celtic fans to vote on boycott of newco club 12 and any clubs that vote them into SPL.
This action is likely to be followed by supporters of other major SPL clubs as overwhelming numbers demand newco are denied entry.

Calls getting louder that they are stripped of all trophies won under the dodgy dual contracts.

FIFA aren't going to allow that. It's the lack of a professional league in places like Wales/NZ that allows teams from there to play in another country. Scotland has a professional league (Albeit a shit one that is about to get shittier).

It's more the historical precedent that means it's allowed than the lack of a professional league.

But depends how they did it. If they're a new club, and start off calling themselves "Bury Rangers" then they'd officially be English.

League rules now block clubs from moving to another town, so they could buy them, but they'd still have to play all their games in Bury.

They'd also get lots of hate from a football club in Hertford.

Indeed - although the new rules aren't quite that specific.

It does appear a deal is being discussed to have Rangers in the 2nd tier and reinstating the Glasgow Cup

Not sure about "crowd control issues", but the hope is that this will keep SKY happy, they get their Old Firm game and the suggestion would be Rangers would be back in the SPL in a year. Personally I think this is a huge assumption.

Newco Rangers are very likely to be stuffed then; Hibs and Celtic were always going to vote against it, as will in all probability Aberdeen, which means all the others would have to vote to include them for it to happen.

Well... That was the reason the Wellington Phoenix (Then Football Kingz) were given dispensation to play in the A League and the example of the Welsh clubs was given as a prescident.

most rangers fans do not believe this story from the Sun

The other rumour circulating is that Celtic are trying to buy Portsmouths registration for league 1. also being laughed off as nonsense
