I'm not negative. I don't support England in football so don't have the rampant nationalist views people like you do. Pearce is a prime example of the reasons England always fail because he's all passion and very little Brain. Even if they win a medal he should be nowhere near young players. You can't handle the fact that not everyone acts like you do when it comes to international football.

+1, Pearce isn't very good at tactics it seems. I predict he will continue to fail as a manager for a few years, maybe taking over a club, dropping down the divisions year by year and in the end get stuck at Hereford or something like that.

Agreed. He is shambolic. Sordell starting ahead of Sturridge? Ramsey playing right midfield Ok then . Tbf it was Ramsey's ball across which led to the second goal, but it was mainly due to poor goalkeeping. Exceptional third from Sturridge, he should have run over to Pearce and lifted his shirt to show a t-shirt reading 'MaROFLvin SoROFLdeLOLLOL'.

Enjoyed the evening. Senegal vs Uruguay was absolute JOKES in the first half. BG lost the head after the equaliser and UAE looked likely to deliver an hilarious murking.....until one soft goal and one brilliant one saved Pearce's bacon.

I have to agree that Pearce isn't cut out for management.

The teams he's picked for the U21s over the years and this GB team just don't make any sense. He selects some very average players and is always playing people out of position (GB had 3 left backs on the pitch the other day).

It looks to me like he's rotating the squad round a bit during these games to save legs for later and to make sure everyone gets a run out at some stage.

Having Pearce involved with both the u21s and the senior team is one of the few things I think the FA should really be criticised for.

If you're going to completely misquote what I said then I'm not surprised you can't follow it.

I was talking in general terms for the u21s and Team GB. In terms of the squad for Team GB he picked an odd balance for the squad with little in terms of quality at centre back or right back (once he's playing Richards as a centre half that is). The fact that Danny Rose gets a game on the left wing is a perfect example of what I meant though.

For the u21s he was playing Mancienne as a holding midfielder whilst Cleverly played on the wing and Muamba and other central midfielders were overlooked.

I'm pretty sure that Frimpong has now declared for Ghana and so wouldn't have been eligable (similar to Victor Moses who, having played for England through all the age groups is now Nigerian).

EP, if you read what I actually wrote, instead of what you wanted me to write, you'll see that I was being critical of Pearce through his u21s selections as well as Team GB.

Inspite of that misquoting, I do still question some of his selections. I can't see the point of having Rose (how has he earnt consideration?), Bertrand and Taylor in an 18 man squad, especially when the squad doesn't include one right back as Richards is clearly there as a centre half (if I was selecting the squad I'd have had Kyle Naughton in there instead of Rose so that I had a natural right back). I can't really see the justification of Cork or Tompkins either. I'd have probably taken an experienced centre half as one of the overaged players as well.
