We would certainly be in a better position that we are now with 6 games to go.

floyd__streete No, because he is massively overrated.

I will agree.

Kebe isn't consistent enough to be a 'great' player. Sometimes he is frustrating to watch, other times magical.

The consistency charge is levelled against him all the time. I think it's a load of rubbish tbh.

Don't get me wrong, when we first signed him he was very inconsistent and useless in front of goal. When McDermott came in he started winning us matches and scoring goals, but was still inconsistent. Then for the past 18 months or so he's not had a bad game, he's been putting in 7/10 shifts every week, doing great defensive work, winning headers, and so forth. I think he's a very consistent player now, the only problem is he's been too injury prone, and maybe hasn't put in as many match winning performances.

I think he's one of the better players in the bottom half. If not for his injury troubles, the gap would be smaller and he'd be looking at a big money move.

Archie's penalty I think it's no surprise that our attacking threat has almost entirely disappeared since Kebe got injured. So simple question, could we have stayed up if Kebe had stayed fit?

What is the point of this type of discussion. I can say anything and no-one can disprove it

One option was left out:
What if we sold Kebe last summer, would his replacement have helped us. (If the money got for Kebe was spent on gettting someone else in.)

Not sure what Kebe is worth, as he is a lot injured. So maybe better to have him in the team for when he is match fit.

We could just extend this out to - what is the point of Hob Nob?
