From Despair To Where? Same trophy, different competition.

Or can we claim we've won the title twice because we got the trophy?

CL is the European Cup, it's just evolved into a different format. The 2nd tier of English football has never been the top division.

Just like the Fairs Cup evolved into the UEFA Cup into the Europa League so rather than winning it at the first time of asking, it took Chelsea 8 attempts.

Was it the cup winners cup where Chelsea got beaten by St Gallen, Tel Aviv and Viking?

You mean the 9 time European Champions Real Madrid, a club full of rich European history and tradition.

Wonder if Real Madrid have ever lost to any of them.

Good that you're comparing Chelsea to Real Madrid. We really have made it as one of the biggest clubs in the World. 8)

Yeah mate, you keep telling yourself that.

Jose Mourinho, by crawling back to the safe ground of Chelsea because he couldn't hack it at a truly big club managing the best talent in the world further illustrates the point that that you can be a successful manager at a relative European minnow but fail when you get to the big leagues.

Gutted

Had a 5 team Acca

Spurs -1 - WON
Fiorentina - WON
Braga - WON
Frankfurt- WON
Stuttgart- LOST

Would have kicked off the season with £150

Swansea through 6-3 on agg

Defoe currently 2-0 up (7-0 on agg)

I'm guessing Wigan have a bye to the group stages?!

Betfair now do acca insurance - stake (or possibly 1/2) back if one leg lets you down.
