Uke Anton is the sole shareholder for TSI, I was more under the impression they were a consortium.

http://www.readingfc.co.uk/global/company-details.aspx

melonhead i think he is backed with investment from shadowy underworld figures who do not want their names bandied about in public company records, so theres obviously a deal in place behind the scenes- contracts etc guaranteeing them shares of any profits from whatever he makes out of it

There was definitely talk at the start of the takeover about others being involved who didn't want to be named.

Royal Lady I thought TSI was a consortium of Samuelson, his son, that Andrew bloke and a couple of others...... what's happened to them? :|

Yes, one of which is supposedly a Prince and an active member of the board.

1. It doesn't matter if that link is 18 months old - it's still pertinent is it not? We were, supposedly, the first of other sporting acquisitions, but they a) haven't completed this acquisition and b) do not appear to have bought any others - why?

2. Clearly, it is NOT a consortium. TSI is 100% owned by Anton. The "prince" and the Samuelsons are merely directors of the company.

Glad I've made that clear for you.

There is still a lot of murkiness around TSI and it's members.

What else has AZ got as business interests other than his TSI/RFC toy?

What is his encyclopaedic business acumen, etc?

At least with Smee and SJM we knew they had had real jobs before RFC, the same for others like Abramovich, Gaydamak, Shinawatra, etc. - they all had business experience pre footie club

Ian Royal Again, I recall at the time Madejski saying he felt no need to talk to Kenwright about it.

Arrogant? Stupid? Or both?

Incidentally, Reading FC Women had to offer guarantees of quite significant financial backing in order to be offered entry to the FA WSL2. Presumably it was Anton who authorised and possible financed that?

As far as I can see, there is plenty of evidence to suggest that Anton has been happy and able to put financial backing into the club from the time he first got involved up until now.

However, if I am wrong, then it would also appear that Madejski isn't quite the level of astute business man that some have previously seen him to be.

Not going to argue with this, but from my understanding of things the added income from the year in the PL meant that there was no need to to put any external money in to keep the club running and doing what has been committed to so far.

At exactly what point in time the committed expenditure is bigger than the income from FL TV revenue and parachute payments is something that none of us know - but when that point is reached/has been reached is the point when external funding is required, and that'll be the real crunch point.

Think Mick Gooding summed it up on the radio yesterday.

(if the the deal was done, and the dates were previously agreed) Why?

Just to keep everything in the same place, the red tops, SSN and local media all running with the story AZ wants to sell his 51%

But we were all barking mad for thinking it?

Be interested to see how me good ol' pal OT-VII Melonhead will spin this one.

Lesson learned: if it smells fishy, it's mostly likely a fish.

Worse still is Madejski now has no control over who owns the rest of the club, AZ can sell his 51% to whoever he wants now he has got bored with his toy

How does this evidence-based approach work with regard to accepting the bona fides of potential owners in the first place?

If this is true the SJM really will have to hang his head in shame, how can a supposed highly successful business man who has made millions get taken by a Russian conman?
Where club goes from here is anyones guess, and surely the uncertainty will relay itself to the management and players
