ZacNaloen When it comes to the newspapers and football news (as it is apolitical usually), if it's in the chronicle or The Sun pinch of salt.

If it's in GetReading, maybe. Especially now that Jonny has gone he didn't mind posting a bit of rumour.

If it's in the Times, The Guardian yeh sure i'll take it seriously. If it's on the BBC it's happening.

Still in the pinch of salt stage.

The Chronicle article in particular is just oxf*rd awful. not even an attempt to get a statement from the club.

About the only thing that tells us is that there's speculation and the club have denied there's a problem.

So, that's there isn't a problem confirmed then.

Getreading reported on the speculation and the fans fears and then quote the club denying there's a problem.

That is not confirmation there is a problem to be concerned about. It's the opposite in fact based on my scale.

But they are divorcing, there's no denial of that is there?

Uke All sides "comfortable" with the situation

http://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/footb ... er-6150616

Reading continue to say they are comfortable with how Anton Zingarevich's takeover is progressing amid speculation he is looking to sell his 51 per cent share.

The Russian, through his Thames Sport Investment (TSI) company, was due to complete the purchase of the club from Sir John Madejski by the end of last month.

He missed the deadline to buy the remaining 49 per cent, however, sparking fears he was struggling to put together the necessary funds, thought to be in the region of £25 million.

Reading have insisted, however, that there is no cause for concern and that Zingarevich and Madejski are both 'comfortable' with the situation.

That continues to be the line, despite speculation that Zingarevich is in talks with a Middle Eastern consortium about selling his share
.

The Russian is currently abroad following the birth of his first child and has not been to a game since the friendly with Oman on September 7.

They are comfortable with the imminent divorce

They live in the same house but have stooped sleeping with each other while Anton looks for someone else to fuck

RFC will be the product of a broken home, we can look forward to meeting our new step-parent(s)

No offense, but your personal interpretation of the usage of a word is way down the scale behind The Sun and Chronicle on my take it seriously scale.

No offense, but your denials are probably equal in stature or nearer "I heard someone in Lidl saying we were safe"

So why no deal deadline?

We'll see.

I think it's an uncontested divorce, but RFC are up for adoption

You are struggling to seperate the facts from your prejudices.

When it comes to the take over I agree TSI Samuelson etc is all a little unusual. I don't like the anonymity.

But there are still no facts to support any supposition that Anton is selling up. Zero. Its all speculation. The OP of this thread says his post is a complete invention in the first paragraph . and tabloids have picked it up. You, the Sun and the Chronicle have been trolled.

All the club or TSI had to do was say why there was a delay - whether it be because AZ not around to deal with the paperwork since baby born/it was agreed a while ago between both parties that it would be delayed a couple of months due to the imminent arrival of baby and AZ had more important things on his mind - I don't know. But just saying "they are comfortable with the situation" doesn't say there isn't a situation for fans to worry about. Maybe AZ has a buyer lined up, he's told SJM and SJM is comfortable that the new buyer will buy out the remainder of his shares - if so, all well and good - but clearly, something has happened behind the scenes, whether it is just to do with birth of AZ baby or not. :|

Not commenting on it is still not evidence of any problem.

They never commented on the delays in the first part of the take over, except to say they expected it to happen. Didn't stop the twitter and HNA exploding with rumour, innuendo and supposed facts.

The only fact we have is that the clubs public message is "we aren't that bothered by it"

Beyond that, lets just wait and see.

Sure that could be because Anton is about to sell his shares to another group.

Or it could be because someone is trying to change the terms of deal.

Or maybe it's because one of the shady anonymous figures behind TSI has got jitters due to the relegation and now he needs to find an additional other shady anonymous figure.

Or maybe just maybe, this sort of thing just happens.

Royal Lady All the club or TSI had to do was say why there was a delay

What if there are legal reasons why they can't comment, as is often the case in multimillion pound transactions, mergers and acquisitions?

Perhaps the club could come out and say "For legal reasons we cannot comment".
That's better than silence surely?
