Poyet was at the riverside today watching the game.

Le Fondre would do well at sunderland, they create chances just can't finish for shit. If it was he who Poyet was there to see major lols. Nice work Adkins

I'd take that with Wickham coming the other way.

So would I but would Pog or Pog's wife leave London for life in Sunderland?

Well in my opinion this season is all but dead and buried. Do the players even care any more? They don't even try. It is time for a two year plan and i guess January isn't the time for re building. We are looking at a mid table finish at best, so why not be radical.
I would sell McCarthy for decent money, ALF for reasonable money ( only fair on him tho would like to keep him, but cant afford to ) and Pog for some money. Also miraculously offload Roberts from our wages bill even if we have to pay him off considerably: he adds nothing to the team anymore , even as a morale booster. McAnuff needs to go. Would like to keep Bridge for another season (if we could get him fit) and Jem in the (probably vain) hope that he doesn't break again. Need to keep Guthrie and Williams. Drenthe can go - too expensive and failing to deliver. Don't really mind if Adkins stays or goes really - the team clearly haven't got any connection with him but somehow feel he deserves more of a chance with a new team and a fresh start. Just spouting on here as feel so utterly disillusioned with it all. Have supported Reading for years and never felt more distanced from the team and despondent. Where is the Reading spirit? Sell almost all of them, bring in some youngsters and start again. No way back this season.

He gave up the opportunity to stay at Fulham to come here (for the money), so yes, he probably would. They wont match his wages here though, I doubt any Premier League side would. Zingarevich was a mentalist bringing him here.

Didn't the Pog sign a 4 year contract? I would presume that his salary came down on relegation? Still his wife must be delighted.

The club clearly has a lot of dead wood. I think there is a bit of clearing out to be done. NA I am sure wants to bring in some of his kind of player. January is going to be decisive in so many ways. We are slipping away from the play offs. To be honest we do not look good enough. There is not enough cohesion in our play. I think we have to accept that this season will be one of sorting things out a bit. Unless there is significant money in January. It looks like ALF is certain to leave and I imagine a couple of others too.

The biggest Cretin being you then! We have spent most of the season in or close to the Play-offs. We are now falling like you off a shovel!

Just thought I'd log on to see the flood of new signings into the club.. then I woke up. Reality! How are our spies doing? Seen Ronaldo or Messi at the Mad Stad yet? They might be on a poster some place.

A month of bullshit made up transfer stories awaits. Oh joy. Today Forest at home. Might take a book...

Pace and some steel in the side would be nice. Make it difficult for teams to play against us and, therefore, harder to beat. The danger with buying players in this wiondow is that they will take time to adjust to the style of play. It's only the 1st so plenty of time to go.

Adkins makes it clear in today's GetReading that he needs to be backed in the transfer market this month, or forget promotion.

Let's just hope we're not relying on any promises of money from Anton. We had two signings lined up on deadline day, only for AZ to be uncontactable and the deals left to fall through. If we're as close to knew ownership as we are hearing, then you would hope something can be worked out between them and SJM to make funds available. Interesting month ahead for us.

Hard times have really arrived if we sign him. He is not the kind of impact player we are looking for. Hope we keep Sharp on but I fear that we will dilly dally and he will get poached by another chumpionship side. What we need is more players in the Danny Williams mold who can drive us forward with a good tempo to their game. If we are to play a passing style we have to move it fast and be more incisive! At the moment too many of our squad cannot play that style at the right level. I think NA plans to get rid of a few more and then get in some his type of player. We are still in transission at the moment it seems to be from poop to poop. We may sneak into the play offs but we will have to play much much better to go up. The current squad will not do it.

If this tranny window is a quiet one will NA resign? If it is I can see us being mid table at best.

Think due to the takeover talks our business will be done late if at all this month. Don't these things take time? We have to get things ratified if they go through too. So we would need some transfer cash upfront from the Omanis or Americans or both to get us a few in.

I think 3 or 4 need to go. There are too many not playing or putting in 100% for the club. NA needs his men in.

Sorry but for those suggesting Drenthe's contract should be cancelled, you are stupid.

He was the only player in our side who in any way had an effect on the game against Brighton and besides Federici for me he was our man of the match even though he came on as a sub which is quite concerning. He seemed like the only player who really cared fought for everything when he was on the pitch.

Only Guthrie and HRK would come close in terms of creativity, and that is if they are having a good day.

We have the squad to do well, the bottom line is that this squad are more than good enough to take us back up but the last few games the passion hasn't been there.

I especially loved him arguing with Crosby and telling him to stick his tactics. That's just what we need!

I'd bin him. Massively expensive, little to no end product and disrespectful to the coaching staff. He's a bag of problems we can do without!
