BR2 BTW I was there at Stamford Bridge for THAT game against 10-man Barcelona-my were the natives screaming for everything until the wonderful Iniesta showed Chelsea how to score with just seconds left to play.

BOOOOOOOOM!

I know a Chelsea fan who never forgave Ballack for turning his back and ducking out of the way of Iniesta's shot. Proper school boy defending.

To this day Chelsea fans go on and on about the ref's performance that night rather than apologising for their non-football performance away in the first leg-something they did again to spawn the competition at a later date.
I hope tonight they will at least try to compete in Paris especially as most football fans want to be entertained rather than see one team park the bus and just hope to sneak a result.

melonhead united fans were class last night

h8 them though i do

It was a good atmosphere last night. However you never hear the commentators cream their pants and say "Nothing like a European night at Old Trafford". That sentence (change ground) is reserved for Liverpool only. Except, I've been to Anfield four times, once in the CL and their fans were terrible. The only thing I will say about Liverpool fans is, they're the most ridiculous fans for throwing their toys out the pram when a player of theirs is fouled or isn't fouled but goes to ground.

Compared to the rocking atmosphere at the Bridge?

You're probably the expert on sterile atmospheres m8.

Nice.

TBF I've only been to the Bridge once - for the FA Cup last season against Brentford. I'm not surprised that the fans were a little bit quiet knowing the reigning European champions had been taken to a replay by a League One side. It did disturb be though that the crowd only really came to life when David Luiz knocked out a 19 year old sub for no good reason.

I would think you'd be worrying about your own teams form, rather than worrying about a team which has no bearing on your season whatsoever.

Went along with the missus' family as most of them are season ticket holders at GP.

Nice to see that you had absolutely no response to my point, so moved onto something completely different. I'm embarassed for you, chins up etc etc

Soggy Biscuit saying Kes is still rattloled 5 years on. Kes recently had a moan about what the bully of ballboys refers to as "The ghost goal". Still rattloled about that one 9 (nine) years later  Poor old Chelski, always the victims.
