THE HUMAN BISCUIT Watching Nigel smiling cheerfully and oozing positivity in his look-ahead to Wigan I thought to myself: What a hero. What splendid managerial optimism. What big balls.
Considering what he has had to put up with this season - terrible ownership uncertainty, unbelievable injuries, big players playing small games, the yammerings of Deller on the radio, Alfie winning Player of the Month in January - considering all that, to have got The Biscuits to within a sniff of the play-offs is a truly monumental managerial achievement. I think he should be knighted. Arise Sir Big Ball of Berkshire!
Let's all get behind him at Wigan. In Nigel we trust. Big Balls are go!
