stealthpapes I agree with that but ...
but there seemed little point winning 3-1 or 3-2 as it would still mean City having to lose one of their last 2 games for Liverpool to win the title and we all know that they won't lose .
is mental and completely contrary to the scenes of upset upon final whistle. Plus ... Just Plain Wrong.
A win would have given Liverpool a slightly better hope, just in case City draw OR lose. Claiming otherwise

Ah..the plethora of tears at football matches, that's something else altogether.
When you are at a game you get caught up in the emotion but the fact remains that Liverpool had only a squeak of a chance of finishing top if they scored ridiculous amounts of goals-even scoring 13 with no reply over the 2 games wouldn't have worked other than City only winning their games 1-0.
With City's fantastic home record any sensible punter wouldn't back against them and they are now 1/14 to win it.
As I said before I am glad that Liverpool had a go (just as Hamilton did on Saturday in scoring 10 but Dundee still won their home game as expected and ended up as champions)).
