Failed to connect with a cross from Murray and was apparently not overly impressed with some instructions coming from the bench after he came on.

Good to see McCleary's back in action.............another couple of games and he'll be up to speed and primed ready for selling in Jan.

Send the loanees back and maybe sell Williams if a good enough offer comes in, should be close to being mission accomplished in gradually building a League 1 squad.

Surely the bonus has to be that Pearce doesn't play the next game?

I and 13,000 others invest our hard earned money into the club backing our club. I expect the club to invest whatever it takes to sort our defence out.

So the great 13000 raise c6.5 million and expect this to be enough to run a club....

Taking the positives ....

He had a shocker last night, but he's been a good servant for the club ... despite not being a footballer. He was a constant in our last promotion season.

Question. After that display, which has been no different than the last Christ knows how many without reward - do I spend approx £150 on tickets, petrol and food to watch exactly the same spineless sh1t at Norwich next week? Or just turn on the radio in the warm with my own beers and spare 5 hours of car journey?

WHY is Alex Pearce so so bad these days? When we won the Championship in 2012 under our previous regime Pearce was POTS, now he is an absolute liability week-in week-out.

FFS, our First Team coach is even an ex-defender himself :!: How on earth have we made a promising player much, much worse :?:

I can't work out what's happened to our defence

Gunter - as many caps for country as Reading pretty much (even if that country is only Wales, still an incredible acheivement)
Pearce - Monumentally good, and was crucial to that majestic run of 1-0 wins to see us go up
Obita - POTS last year and looked at home

Hector admittedly lacks experience but has shown how good he can be at points.

It's not the fault if individuals.
Yes, Pearce's oggy was unlucky, but someone with the (lack of) pace like Pearce shouldn't isolated one on one. If the defensive unit and midfield can't position themselves correctly, individuals get isolated and tend to look sh1t.
Everyone's been gunning Gunter too, but with better management and coaching he's proven to be decent (plays well for Wales).
The problem is the coaching and management.
i.e. Adkins OUT

Anyone saying 'Pearce this, Pearce that' can oxf*rd right off.

The ball shouldn't be hitting anyone on the foot at the back post. If you want to hand out blame to individual players then the 1st goal is on Danny Williams for missing his header.

For the 2nd goal Michael Hector has been absolutely done by a long ball. I've said all season he's oxf*rd useless at judging the flight of a ball/getting himself in position.

Certainly Pearce has not coped well in either situation, but he's found himself in serious danger due to the team's inept defending.

The team has defended terribly all season. That's the manager's fault.
If we can't defend oxf*rd corners, then that is the manager's fault.
If there is nobody on the posts at a corner, one can only assume that is the manager's decision.
The manager and coaching staff ought to have taught Hector not to get done by long balls by now.

Royal Rother Ah yes, the spluttering bloated knob end pops in for a moment. Lovely.

The only spluttering going on here is coming from Adkins apologists like you who, having spent nearly 2 years slagging off anyone who dared to offer a different opinion, are now resorting to personal insults and ever desperate attempts at character assassination in order to undermine those who are being shown to have been correct with every passing week.

How old are you, 13 :|

Why did the travelling fans boo Alfie last night? Bang out of order that.

He was a cracking player for us & didn't want to leave Reading. They chose to sell him.

Isn't it standard to applaud when their name is read out and then boo whenever they touch the ball?
