Surely Oldham can think of better ways to get publicity than to associate themselves with Ched Evans.

It's easy for clubs to say no when they don't have a need for that type of player. If it had been a better player such as Ronaldo or Messi the clubs with principles would have bitten off the agents hand at the chance to sign them on the cheap.

They probably just made it up, not hard is it. Especially when they claim all the clubs said no comment, or "not our kind of player", or "we have no plans to sign him"...

I reckon my Sky bill paid for the 20 minutes of adverts for Sky they broadcast every hour on each channel.

Coventry City: We would never be interested in signing Ched Evans.
This the club that took no issue in signing Marlon King straight after release from prison in 2010. The conviction was sexual assault and ABH. Though tbf King showed contrition upon release, oh no wait he didn't, he unsuccessfully appealed the conviction instead.

Then Birmingham signed King.

At least Sheffield United were consistent with their opinions on King, who they signed in 2013, and Evans.

King will be on the sex offenders register for another 2 years, and would no doubt be playing for someone right now if it wasn't for his current stint in prison.

There are no morals in football, as Forbs points out. No doubt a large number of these "We'd never sign Evans" clubs have signed players in a similar position previously, or will do so in future.

Due to Spurs banning selfie sticks, SSN have phoned around other Prem Clubs to see if they would ban them.

Coming to a Premier League ground near you - Sky branded Selfie Sticks. Look great but scratch beneath off the paint and it's just recycled rubbish

Mob ROFLuLOLe

LOL @ those clamouring for some sort of unworkable legislation around footballers being rolemodels. That is emotive nonsense. If you disqualify anyone who has had a brush with the law from playing football then we'd all be watching 5 a-side matches every week
