Bradford City want to get back in the big time. New owners have some outlandish ideas there. Come back home Parky, I will bake you a cake.

Hell no.

That applies to Steve Coppell too. Reading fans are too thick and short sighted to have any club legends come back.

Any loss or poor performance will be met with "XXXXX out" and "Why did we appoint him?".

Let's get someone we don't really have any emotional connection with or care about. Then if and when the board decide to sack him we can move on quickly to the next.

A very ignorant view considering the squad he's built, and the success he's had with next to no money!

not particlularly impressed with his record, but at the very least hes reading through and through, knows the club, and wont suffer people not putting effort in.

I don't think anyone knows the club any more.

Good where the expectation is low, but his record at Championship level is very poor.

Thank you, no. I don't want any other Legends having their records tarnished.

When did he last play for Reading? How long is it since he was with the club? I doubt many would suggest the club is the same now as it was back then.

You'll struggle to back up your claim that he's a nasty piece of work.

It's abundently clear the Thais want to establish their rule. There is not a single chance they will go for a lower league manager with a legendary Reading FC connection, who knows Madejski and the past regime.

Steve will never come back here while the Thai's are in charge. In the past he has said being Reading's manager was the best job he ever had as he was allowed to run things as he wished. He only lasted a few days at Bristol City because he was told he had to accept a certain goalie. With these interfering owners, Reading is the last place he would return to, either as manager of DOF.

To those who want Parkinson, if he wasn't a former Reading legend, would you still want him?
