Great interview with Mourinho after the game on BBC.

It's the fault of the officials, individual mistakes by players and the fact that they are not coping well with the pressure and with the frustrations caused by unfair decisions of officials.

He singled out Ashley Young for praise in that he played with infectious enthusiasm and enjoyment that the others could learn from.

Again, a number of players will be watching that thinking "yeah, thanks a bunch Jose."

And probably also thinking - "stop making the rest of us carry that cart horse in midfield and maybe we might feel a bit less frustrated and enjoy it a bit more..."

If Jose doesn't drop Rooney himself, I reckon Zlatan will do it in training.

Apparently Mourinho has now lost 11 of the last 21 games that he has managed in the Premier League (and that is with two of the most expensively assembled sides ever).
Not a good start but there will be another transfer window in January for him to spend, spend, spend.

TBF to him - it was a foul on Martial for Watfords 2nd goal. Nearly as clear as the Fer foul on Cahill last week.

I do enjoy seeing Mourinho struggle and it does look like his abrasive methods are running out of effectiveness.

I wouldn't bet against them sorting it out, but this does make for amusing viewing at the moment.

Did he feel the foul as well then?

Was never a foul. He cleanly and strongly won the ball. It was a great challenge.

Chelsea types are trained to feel the foul and go down..... appears like its spreading under Mourino.

Could easily have been given as a foul. More importantly you have to question why he was still on the pitch after the clash of heads. Its about time there's a proper concussion evaluation done off the pitch even if it means a sub comes on whilst its done so the team isn't disadvantaged.

Leave him alone Paul, he's clearly hurting.

Give him a couple of days to cool off

No Fixed Abode Nah - he went through the man. Clear foul imo.

Nah

Going through the man involves serious contact with the player first, before contact with the ball.
On the replays, the first (slight) contact with the ball was clearly at the same time as contact with the player (i.e. didn't need to get the player's leg out of the ball to get the ball)

excellent tackle

Nice slow mo at 47secs. The left foot touches the ball before taking the man out

As I have said, fair but firm tackle.

2 points.

1) if it was done on a man United player at old Trafford a foul would have been given know doubt.

2) in league 1 and 2 that would have been a fair tackle all day long

Personally thought it was a foul and many other pundits did. Especially when you see some of the softer fouls given in the game. Still, at least it wasn't as an embarrassing mistake as Mariners last week. I assume he didn't officiate a Prem game this weekend?

Good footage, clear tackle and then players has fallen over leg with momentum.

Yet another reason why video technology will never work in footbal if pundits and Kes can't see a clear tackle In a match!

First feeling was no foul - after a replay from about the 10th angle, thought it was a foul.

Given that the ref has that first look, it would have been very harsh to call it a foul but as said, if it was Utd V Watford and not Watford V Utd, it would have been given.

Still shocking to let Capoue have the freedom of the penalty area to pick his spot, and whilst De Gea is a great keeper he'd be even better if he used his hands more.
