BR0B0T are you watching Merseyside???

What a strange posting.
Is it something to do with being out of the FA Cup?
If so, what about:
Are you watching South Coast (with Brighton, Saints and Bournemouth no longer in it)? or
Are you watching Wales and the West Country or
Are you watching most of Yorkshire?

Do you think the scheduling of midweek games str8 after an FA Cup weekend also 'ruins' it as invariably as we've seen, teams put out much weaker sides. If there was a free week for FA Cup ties we might see stronger sides put out....

Discussed on the radio and the feedback seemed to be that it would make no difference. Clubs would just see it as a longer rest for their first team

Given that we've had two or three upsets that are proper upsets and you've still got most of the big clubs in it, I'm struggling to see why I should care that a bunch of also-rans spaffed it, in hilarious manner.

What was not to like about the weekends football?

Heard on the radio yesterday:

"there's been another giant killing as Millwall knock Watford out of the cup".

I think this attitude (albeit totally ignorant in this case) really represents why so many of the Top 4-6 in the PL are losing or not performing against smaller clubs.

I keep saying to people that the lesser known clubs are rarely a push over. They do have some quality in their teams, and their players still want to win, often more than the bigger clubs.

I think it's great that these days i'm really not surprised when someone like Hull/Burnley/Bournemouth/etc... end up beating Man United, or Arsenal.

Perhaps you should have used Liverpool and somebody else as a better example...

Wonder what odds you can get on Sutton, Lincoln, Fulham and Blackburn to win

Why Fulham v Spurs over Wolves v Chelsea?

Such a shame for LIncoln and those poor sods in the bar at Sincil Bank having to look excited at the prospect of a trip to Burnley

BTW what were the odds that with 8 Prem teams in the last 16 there would be 0 all-prem ties? A last 8 of all prem teams will just add to the dullness of this year's competition, last weekend notwithstanding

Did anyone else find it a bit sad when both youngsters when asked why they wanted a big team said it was because of the money?

Not really. Money takes on a different significance when you're a club that size

No idea but I imagine that with a £10 stake you might be able to earn enough to retire if that lot all won on the first attempt.

The other 4 missing ties are

Wolves v Chelsea
Middlesbrough v *xf*rd
Huddersfield v ManC
Millwall v Derby/Leicester

Would expect all PL sides to win through that lot and a cue a complete loss of interest in the competion for another year.

Games for the telly IMO - there should be 4 I think

Fulham v Spurs Reserves
Huddersfield v Man C Reserves
Millwall v Leicester
Sutton v Arsenal Reserves (presuming plod dont insist the game has to be switched to the Emirates and primarily to help those unable to get tickets)

However we all know ManU Reserves will be on yet again and probably Chelsea Reserves
