Old Man Andrews I was back in the South Stand on Saturday, will happily admit I was incorrect.

One87One Baggies fans were very complimentary about C1871 and many said it was up there with the best home support they heard this season. Brilliant to hear! Also commented that the Dolan were loud at times with their clappers, which we don’t all like I appreciate but they work well in that stand! They did however comment on how quiet Y25/26 were but I’m sure that’ll improve next season. It does need a small group of say 20 fans at the back persistently singing though to get everyone on their feat and singing with them. But credit where credit’s due. A great atmosphere and important point. Now role on the summer so we can relax before what will be an interesting transfer window ahead.

Nameless Great support today, from all stands. Club1871 led from the start but everyone did their bit.
Poor show from the Baggies, I assumed their season had ended in mid table mediocrity....

biff How could it ever hope to compliment the rest of the ground?
The south stand are singing their inoffensive dittys towards the pitch, away from y26 (the only real organic area for noise), flanked by away fans on their right and the most soulless part of the ground on their left.
It hasn't got a hope of working. Knock it on the head, move everyone back to the one place where 20 years of (relative) atmosphere has prospered, and make at least one part of the ground vaguely intimidating again.
