Pointless extending his contract because he’s been ignored in virtually every game.

I guess with 2 games a week, the club would’ve weighed up the risk of a number of people getting injured and then he would’ve been required. If the cost to extend was minimal just for safety then it’s fine.

Came on in one game. Looked a bit flash, gave the ball away, did nothing.

Really could be objectively a fair bit worse.

I’m not a fan but he was only given a few minutes. I’d rather he was given a chance instead of GMac who is definitely going to be leaving.

I mean, Boye is also definitely going to be leaving.

Well it looks like it but had he been given more of a chance maybe he would have surprised us all and earnt a deal. That wasn’t going to happen with GMac. If it was already decided he was leaving it seems silly to have extended his deal. It’s not like we don’t have a big enough squad.

Personally rather the devil we know. GMac has been out of form since his injury a few years back but we know what we are getting with him and he has had some impact. Boye was a flashy ball waster.

Sorry :?:

Well, he has one of the lowest pass successes, and highest dispossessed and unsuccessful touch ratings in the squad, with no league goals or assists and one of the lower key pass ratings.

Relax, we made an agreement that he wouldn’t say anything about Boye if I didn’t say anything about Meite (which I’ve stuck to for the most part  )

Why would anyone want you not to praise our top scorer for the last two seasons and current PotS contender?

Because he was pretty poor until December (although reflecting, wasn’t his fault, was played up front with Puscas when it was clear they weren’t linking up too well). Pretty sure he only had two league goals up until Christmas and one was when we were 4 down

Since then, he’s been a lot better in his favoured position, seems to have worked on his deficiencies. I’d certainly argue we’ve had a few more consistent performers throughout the season though which I think is what POTS is about

Less said about Boye’s contributions the better, although I still reckon he can have a decent career somewhere, definitely needs to work on his decision making though

He had 4 league goals at Xmas and 2 in the cup.

And half those games were played under the Gomes ubershambles

And he's mainly been played on the wing. Just suck it up and admit you're wrong about the guy who has been consistently a positive contributor every time he's had a decent run in the side.

I’ve always said Meite is an option for us on the wing. I’ve also maintained he shouldn’t be played as a striker because he lacks the basic ability as a striker (he plays a lot better facing the goal rather than with his back to goal). I still stand by that

I’m saying he wasn’t playing very well up until Christmas (even with consistent game time) but since then, he’s been good and whilst he wouldn’t be in my POTS vote, has pushed himself as a possible contender (as I alluded to in the POTS thread). Is that wrong?

I know it most likely won't happen but we need to nab somebody like Rhian brewster or Connor Gallagher or Bukayo Saka. Both very good players Swansea an Arsenal youth player.
