Will the show be exciting?
The pandemic has taken the edge off: expect a lower-key event than usual, with no national representatives. Daniele De Rossi and Rafael van der Vaart will pick the balls, Fifa’s acting director of competitions, Jaime Yarza, will host.
So thats a no then?

Sanguine So England's group of 'death' (although we'd still expect to qualify easily) might include Sweden, Norway and Bulgaria.
Or we might get a group of Wales, Iceland, Luxembourg (somehow in Pot 4), Andorra, San Marino.
It's only really South America that is materially underway with qualifying, and for once Brazil and Argentina aren't fcuking it up early doors, Brazil have won 4of 4, with Argentina a couple of points behind them.

Sanguine Sure, they are on a decent run, but they've had a few relatively easy fixtures. Going back to the start of 2018, they've got one win against a side ranked in the top 40 in the world (Slovakia), from ten matches played. That's their only such win since that 3-1 win over Belgium at the 2016 Euros.

Who gets the job then? A return of Mark Hughes? Was a decent international manager imo.
