Snowflake Royal Three good opportunities from us. All wide.

Generous to say "good". Best chance so far is one goal in 20 efforts

We haven't created much quality at all (which is probably why none have troubled the keeper). Players unsurprisingly look knackered

Don't agree

Rino chance was gilt edged
Ejaria was decent but he pulled his shot
TMac should have done better

All good chances

Welcome to disagree, but the data say otherwise. Highest xG value of the lot was 0.05. Headers - even from close range - rarely hit the target. Similarly, any goal from outside the box is rare, it's just easy to forget the 1000s each season that fly harmlessly high and wide.

Come change things at halftime, change formation two up top and try to win this game, we can't play on the counter now, boro will sit back

Yet again Reading’s season is being damaged by awful home form (awful being comparative to the club’s position in the league table as the same record last season would have been seen as not too bad). After this debacle it’ll be 7 of 16 games lost but at least there haven’t been any draws to worsen it further. Other teams in the top 6 have lost less than half that number at home. Really need to sharpen it up quickly.

My point from earlier
Clean strike from Rino and that's one up

That's clutching at straws. We lack any real threat going forward. Even more so once we go behind.

We create chances but don't finish them

That's our problem. Our ratio of chances to goals. Means we need to score first to open the game up. Go behind. We are so easy to play against.

jt_1871 Any danger of Joao breaking into anything faster than a jog  seems totally uninterested

Is that any different to any other game?

No point Joao wasting energy as he had had zero service so far.

Lack of options in the squad to mix it up. Too many passengers in the team.

Fuk data. Those were all good chances.

It's alright everyone, we're only 1-0 down because xG says Boro shouldn't have scored from outside the box.

Do we think they are good chances because if Joao was taking those shots they would have been goals or would we expect the average player to score with them? I mean, I would have expected both to get those shots on target so I suppose they're decent chances minimum?

Average champ players should hit the target with a crisp strike imo

Absolutely mindless to say data on all headers and shots outside the box can determine that every header and shot from outside the box is a poor chance.

Like astoundingly stupid.

I think Velcro needed to be more positive on the subs.Puskas up front with Jao.Estevez and Gibson doesn’t seem to be a step in the right direction.

I think you'd reasonably expect at least one of those three to go in.

I did certainly but I am known to be unreasonable.

Don't think it was especially bad. Doing well until the goal. Then a bit aimless.
