Sounds like Grealish to Citeh will be wrapped up today. Bizarrely the Villa fans are fuming. Dunno how they can begrudge him a move to one of the best teams in Europe, especially when they're getting £100m for it.

I am slightly disappointed for Foden, can't be good for him knowing he will probably end up playing second fiddle to Grealish.

Also don't think Grealish will do that well up there, he is one of those players who is better off being a big fish in a small pond with a team built around him.

Yeh, will be interesting to see how it pans out. Given how much Pep rates Foden, would hope he can find a way of fitting them both in - would be great for Engerland if he can. Just imagine Kane, Foden and Grealish all playing together week in week out, in the lead up to the WC.

Yeah that would be a nice scenario. Depends on what he expects from Grealish ultimately, I can't see him being given a free role like at Villa based upon Pep's previous team set ups, will have to play with a bit more discipline which from what I have seen is the only thing that lets him down.

Be interesting to see where he plays for City. If they don't get a striker in I could see him playing up front as a deep striker.

Cristian Romero to Tottenham is quietly a brilliant signing by the way.

Got to wonder where it leaves Mahrez and Torres too - if they do sign both Kane and Grealish. Mahrez had a solid second half to the season and Torres showed glimpses of his ability towards the end

You could argue Kane in for Aguero is one in one out - but then Aguero scarcely featured last year. Either way, would be unreal squad depth

Your point on Grealish is interesting but think he’ll be OK there, lot of football to be played considering they usually go quite far in four completions each season

I think he has no choice but to go for it and play at the top level, he is at the age where it is go now or stay at Villa for the rest of your career. Worst that happens is he gets a great amount of money for a couple of years and then gets sold to Spurs.

Could not cut the mustard at Juve. Had 1 good season at Atalanta. Lets see how he handles the pace of the PL.

Still is not enough for them to solve their issues.

I think he will be another Scott Parker, Danny Drinkwater or Steve Sidwell.

He could be one of the Villians greatest ever if he stays. I doubt he will get much gametime at City.

Just for the record he is now sending me abusive private messages. They can be added to the others that the police already have.

You think he is better then what they have is what I'm asking? So playing 40 odd games a year. He's good but not better. I think it'll be a mistake.

I think he can certainly improve City, yeah. They wouldn't be paying £100m if they didn't think he could.

Whereas the ones you have mentioned were probably just signed to bolster the English quota required for European games.

Maybe , I cannot remember tbh Parker/Sidwell and Drinkwater was probably signed for that but he was decent at that time yes. As was Barkley.

I don't know to be honest, he is a very good player no doubt. Is he better then Torres, Mahrez and Foden. I do not think he is.

Mate, not even City will go and spaff 100m on a player who they don't expect to improve their team - he starts the season and only if he is a total dud will they drop him.

Personally think Villa could end up being a better team for the sale, if they reinvest wisely.
