Since the 3-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday in March, we've won two out of 16 games

Lower West , let me assure you that when you play football for money , that is what you do !

Particularly at the moment when the majority of the players Reading are talking to are out of contract . NO MONEY .

Other clubs have the flexibility to offer better terms. No need to rush. Not impacted by the transfer window closing, Wait and see how early stages of the season pan out.

Sadly, I think we are going back to the days before Sir John took over the club. There’s been some brilliant times over the last 20 + years, the pinnacle being 2005/06.

The last few years have been painful with 2 glimmers of hope last year and Stam’s first season in charge (although the football was terrible to watch).

I don’t begrudge Coventry their win today as their fans have had to endure some pretty dreadful times in recent years. I just believe it’s now our turn as the club is up sh*ts creek without a paddle.

It would appear John O.Shea had more of an impact on team tactics than we gave him credit for last season.

Sick of hearing about John O'Shea, its just excusing poor performance from the likes of Moore and Morrison. They are experienced professionals, they shouldn't need John O'Shea to hold their hand.

I'm worried about our club. If we do go down will Yongge hang around? Back to the lower divisions would have a huge impact on attendances and with so many of our better players out of contract we would be in a real mess. It could get a lot worse before it gets better.

Yep, plus our defending was pretty horrific at times while O'Shea was here.

Yup. If we go down this season, I very much doubt any of the OOC players will stick around. Could quite easily drop again.

Given how similar our situations are, it's amazing that Derby are 5/6 to go down, while we're still 4/1.

Still have to pay Moore £35k a week for another year in L1 if we go down.

But we`ve played 4 games, we are far from relegated yet. calm down.

Exactly it's a poor start but could easily turn around though hard to see. Get through next week, international break. Ejaria back and maybe a couple of new players, could look a lot different.

What a stupid comment - have you any idea how much he has invested in the club in particular the training facilities and the academy?

Long way to go - at least we’re not getting tonked

But definitely concerning times. Just how poor the defence has become is scary - were relying on these boys and they’ve been a total let down.

Need some good signings in and Moore and co to get their act together or do one basically.

I know the players are to blame especially at the back but we've not signed a single defender. These players know they're guaranteed starters with no competition to keep them on the ball.

Teams have gone down before. lots of them bounce back, if it happens to us I`ll still be in my seat next season, I'm old enough to remember Division 4. I'm confident about the future.

The problem is league one has a lot of big clubs in it now. Look at Ipswich, they've not bounced since they went down and don't look like being promoted this season either. They just signed Aluko!

We've got a lot of players OOC this summer. If we lost them all that's leaving us with 8 senior players. And we may be under embargo again.

We'd need to hope our academy are good enough to stop us dropping further.

Point is relegation now would set us back years and we'd have a very long rebuild to get back up. This definitely would be the worst season to be relegated.
