Today's match at East Cowes Vicoria has been officially abandoned after 96 minutes as Andover Town's Jordan Smith was stricken with 'Heat Stroke'
The referee officially abandoned the match. The match finished at 3-3
Obviously we will have to wait until the league decides on the official outcome of the match ??
In the meantime we wish Jordan all the very best in his recovery !!

Royal Rother Windsor 1-4 Edgeware
Well beaten by a very impressive team. Intercepted all our through balls, read the game well, fast and strong without ever being dirty, excellent out wide (both wingers and overlapping full backs) and got shots off in tight situations where most teams wouldn’t and almost always on target.
Oh well, we won’t be playing them every week.

...must admit I was a tad surprised at that result - not least the margin bearing how well Windsor had done to date (other than Tuffley) but then looked at Edgware's form and it wasn't as shabby as I first thought it had been.
I must've confused them with one the other SSM sides joining the northern bit of the CCL - presumably Wembley as St Panteleimon and NGU have also both started quite well.

- got here just - was a 13:00 start –– M4 jn 8/9 was completely jammed for no particular reason other than the great British Public can’t filter into a diversion in turn in a civil manner – so a journey that was described as being taken ‘in light traffic conditions’ took 90 mins instead of 50
– Handy Cross was being ‘@rsey’ too – missed about ¼ hr.
- mood not improved by the discovery that the ‘Ducks’ hadn’t sorted out any food at their lodgings either - and I’d missed breakfast to go shopping first – was looking forward to a bacon burger …
- match prog now on-line but some dedicated soul who does the Podcasty thing for them with a fancy camera gubbins, had also produced a commemorative Guide for the 21-22 season for the club – which was worth tracking down. Had a brief chat about their nomadic status but decided I ought let him carry on setting up for the 2nd half.
- I had thought B&T might put a half decent fight, having seen them trouble Highworth a month or so ago (albeit in a friendly) but the Ducks just swept them away with goals at regular intervals.
- I suspect the visitors might have had a few key absences, which seems a prevalent condition at this time of year.

- was at this – Bracknell through traffic & M3/M25 around Chertsey an absolute *&^% but just arrived in time for KO
- SatNav took us on a very scenic and narrow route through a few blind village bends down from the M20 jn 8 - luckily Lorry/Ocado Van and Tractor –free!
– nicely laid out pitch tucked away in the Village of Otham east of Maidstone and a couple of miles south of Bearsted Village itself.
Combined Bar/Café – volunteer helpers worked tirelessly serving and cooking – even found time to look out a badge for me.
- home official bemoaned the unusually high unavailability of players at this time of year: weddings and holidays had pruned the hosts playing squad by a full XI apparently – not ideal against opposition from a league above. Comfortable win for the ‘Hillians’.

140 Corsham Town 1-5 Fleet Town
141 Winchester City 1-3 Chichester City
142 Basingstoke Town 2-1 A.F.C. Totton -att 483 Game of three 2nd half pens apparently – Brett Williams on target for the visitors; Conor Lynch a brace of spot-kicks for Town and the evergreen ‘Strudders’ between the sticks for the hosts too.
143 Bradford Town 1-1 Alton
144 Blackfield & Langley 1-1 A.F.C. Portchester
145 Alresford Town 1-0 Fareham Town

153 Frome Town 3-1 Paulton Rovers
154 Bideford 1-3 Barnstaple Town att 537
155 Mousehole 1-3 Plymouth Parkway
...plenty of 'local' interest in the replays then, with at least half-a-doz to choose from on Tuesday night @ Alton, Ascot, Burnham, Flackwell, Knaphill & Westfield - as well as the undoubted lure of the palatial Rivermoor
