Isn't it lucky that 3 of the 4 Premier League matches to go ahead are those being shown live on Sky

They moved the ones that weren't originally going to be shown into to the TV slots didn't they? Sure I heard something about the Newcastle game being moved because of the Everton v Leicester game being postponed.

<takes off tinfoil hat>
Ah, that makes more sense.

I think Newcastle could buy the entire Man City squad in the January transfer window and still find a way to lose every game.

Yeah, agree with that. Thought Trent and Robertson (up to the red card) were superb. Made the point last season that at least one of Fabinho and Henderson need to be in the Liverpool midfield and today reinforced that. Thought Morton looked like a rabbit in headlights with Keita and Milner also guilty of losing the ball far too often, although that trio probably made the game the spectacle it was

Sessegnon has had a tough start to his Spurs career but thought he was terrific against Salah, barely gave him a sniff which some of the best LB’s would be proud of saying. Alli looked hungry and it makes such a difference. Kane was poor again, decent finish for the goal aside

Seems that Conte is getting a tune out of these players but Mourinho (and Nuno very temporarily) got a short term reprieve so the key is to maintain it over a longer period

True, but, it does feel different. He's suddenly getting performances out of players likes Dier, who has been absolutely superb under Conte. The team has more of an identity, and most importantly they don't seem very Spursy. Under Mourinho, they won a few to start but still in a very Spurs-like manner (being 3-0 up at West Ham in Mourinho's first match and nearly blowing it, same with Bournemouth a few days later)

The Kane yellow when it should have been a red probably influenced the result just because Spurs would have had only 10 men for 70 minutes or so.
Not giving Jota a penalty was a very odd decision for a blatant push.
Robertson red was understandable .

Regarding Kane was it a case of "he's not that sort of player" affecting Tierney's and the VAR ref's decision.?
Commentators and pundits disagreed with the ref's decision.

CONFIRMED: The Premier League WILL continue for now. Clubs told of way forward:

13 outfield players + keeper is enough to avoid postponement. Should figure be less, U21s who have first team experience HAVE to step in. Chief medic may also inquire over injured players.

Should be a good opportunity for some youngsters and fringe players. Made me laugh this morning listening to how Prem teams were down to the "bare bones" this weekend, when you consider how our squad has looked all season.

Tbf you do feel for Chelsea only having £130 million worth of transfer fees on the bench yesterday. The poor sods didn’t stand a chance

Getting a bit tired of the usual suspect managers complaining about fixture congestion. These poor footballers having to play two games in three days :roll:

Always the same ones too, Klopp in particular says the same things year after year. It’s the managers job to build a side strong enough to compete on all fronts. Get on with it and stop complaining
