Millsy These discussions bore me.
Basically debating who has been "a bit less shit" than whom. Bowen, Gomes, Pauno, Clement, Clarke, etc etc
Shit after shit after shit, let''s be honest.
Totally agree.
All those previous managers named (except possibly Bowen) have been shit when it mattered and had no idea.
Overpaid players going through the motions (with some rare exceptions - Yiadom, McIntyre, Morrison, Meite, Dann for example)
I have been pro-Pauno on the basis that he has been unable to field a first XI all season and unable to buy anyone throughout his time as Manager and he deserves a proper chance.
As for the 7-0; to be honest when I saw the team we were putting out against a motivated, very strong Fulham; I could see a heavy defeat was the only realistic outcome.
Imagine;
Southwood
Yiadom Dann McIntyre Rahman
Rhino Drinkwater Laurent (or 2 of 3)
Ejaria or Swift
Joao Carroll
That is a top side
With Meite, Holmes, Halilovic, TDB, Azeez, Moore, Andresson, Tetek on the bench
That is a top bench
Puscas and Rafael can do one.
We have been unable to name a first XI for as long as I can remember.
We will probably never see the team I have set out above; because some won’t be fit before most of the others have gone.
It’s a sad time.
Pauno did well last year; 7th.
He has definitely not had a fair crack at promotion and now we appear to be in a dire situation.
I think we have to limp through to the summer and survive. Then sell or offload everyone we can.
And start again from scratch, with Ainsworth.
Be happy to be small and start again but do so in the Championship (I hope).
