Royal_jimmy We could be playing Sutton United next season, a team who were playing the likes of Hungerford, Slough and Maidenhead not even 4 years ago. Now that is depressing.
We have to stay up at all costs. Or next season will be very embarrassing.
We could have all 4 of these fixtures..
1) Reading v Sutton United
2) Fleetwood v Reading
3) Reading v Morecambe
4) Accrington Stanley v Reading
Who would actually fancy watching those? Be lucky if we had 7k playing any of them teams at home

windermereROYAL I would anticipate that we need 46-48 points to stay up this year, 24-26 points from 19 games is less than 1.4 points a game, but if recent form is anything to go by even that could be beyond us.
We will have a decent run again soon, I`m confident of that, might have to wait till after QPR though.

fred sharpes nose Sky Bet Championship Relegation 21/22
Barnsley. 2/9.
Derby. 2/7.
Reading. 2/5.
Peterborough. 10/11.
Cardiff. 4/1.
Hull. 12/1.
Bristol City. 14/1.
Birmingham. 22/1.
Even with our 6 points back we'd still be a point behind Hull and worse goal difference
Derby will be confident of catching up an 8 point gap in 19 games
Posh see us as their chance of survival
I reckon 2 from Royals Posh Bluebirds

Can’t see us needing that many. We may well stay up on 40 points especially if Derby are badly weakened or go under in the next week.

When has 40 ever been good enough before? That seems hella low. We should really gone with 47 under Gomes, that was a weak year.

windermereROYAL No way on earth will 40-42 points e enough, Derby would need 26 points from 19, even if the lose a couple of players they have more than enough quality to get that, 46-48 points would be very nearly 2 points a game which i think is beyond them.

RG30 FiveThirtyEight have us ranked the second worst team in the Championship. On current form and performances that sounds about right.

Barnsley won’t get 40 points. I doubt Peterborough will. Derby are another matter.

YorkshireRoyal99 I think Hull have a better side than both Peterborough and Barnsley though and I think momentum is exactly the reason they went down in their catastrophic season a couple of years ago as well. They lost their 2 best players but most of their other players were still of Championship quality, just probably bottom half which is where they are now.
I just don't think Peterborough or Barnsley have the quality for this level to be fair. They could get out of it with a good run, but I see that as far less likely than Hull, or even ourselves and Cardiff.
