Pepe the Horseman It's actually mental that we're still not in the relegation zone.

Tbf I guess it’s not that common that a team has a 21 point deduction.

The fact we are not in the relegation zone is actually a positive within itself. We've lost our last 7, you'd imagine we are closer to picking up a result or a win somewhere which isn't exactly good news for Peterborough and Derby. A lot of noise saying Derby are getting close, but if our results pick up then that will show a true reflection on if they can catch or not. Anyone will catch up when we've lost 6 league games on the bounce and not won since November.

Having said that, we could very easily not see an upturn in results as well.

Unfortunately, we only have hope that we'll sneak a win. At no point of late has it ever felt like we should have won - Derby maybe the last time but even then only because we were 2-0 up so late.

The only thing saving us at the moment is the fact that Derby were 15 points worse off than us.

Peterborough have taken 1 point from the last 18 and Barnsley 0.

Derby must be rubbing their hands together with glee.

That's true as well. As much as we don't look like we will win a game, you'd be thinking these past couple of months would be the opportunity for Peterborough/Derby to move above us. I'd much rather be getting chased rather than doing the chasing, which at least both of those clubs are still doing.

The only way results improve is with a manager change. And the longer Pauno stays the less likely it is the players can recover even then.

I've seen a few today say things like "we have winnable games coming up" and "with a couple of wins we will pull well away". I want to know what these people have seen to suggest we will win another game this season? It is baffling to be remotely positive about our chances right now.

yeah for all the Derby 'miracle' talk, they have proper lucked out by having 3 diabolical teams down the bottom with them for company. As I said, it really isn't a great achievement to be 5 wins better than our absolute shambles of a team come the end of the season.

Agree with that as well, under more "normal" circumstances they probably would end up finishing 15+ points above ourselves anyway.

Tbf Peterborough fans are probably saying the same thing given they’ve only won 1 league game in 14. Going to be a real low quality game next week

We will lose, Peterborough will want it more than us. That is our biggest issue right now, we just don't play like we want to win.

Yep certainly going to be a spectacle on the telly, showing the nation just how bad both teams are.

It is going to be Peterborough throwing the kitchen sink at us early doors and trying to ride out the storm. I they score early it could end up being the worst night in the clubs history.

Because I'm sure Cardiff and Hull fans were saying similar things to us, they've managed to do it. Derby fans probably believed League One was a certainty etc.

You're right, there isn't a great deal to suggest we will win another game this season, but actually believing we will not win 1 more game this season is actually more baffling than believing we have favourable fixtures to pick up a couple of wins.

This, I have no expectation of us winning any game at the moment but I also don't think we are going to go another 17 games without one. If we do then we will likely go down as the worst Championship side in history.

Be some record to be the best and worst (unless Fulham nick the former).

Even the two worst sides I can think of in recent times, Rotherham (when they amassed something like 20 points) and Hull (who went from 8th at Xmas-ish time to 24th by May), weren't even that bad. And we are by no means as bad as what they are either, no matter how bad we might be now.

Longer the run goes on though, the harder an argument that is to make.
