Or you can spin it to make it sound like something it's not?
Laurent has been poor for 18 months bar the last 10-ish games under Ince, Rino has barely played and when he was, hasn't been great.
But yes, we didn't miss someone who hasn't played well, when available, that's usually how it works. It's not like Rino every came in and we were suddenly good again.
Hasn't Josh Laurent only been at the club 24 months? He's been poor for 18 of those months? Are you sure about that?
And was PotS first time out wasn’t he?

Yiadom was player of the season this time around, doesn't mean he had a good season per say, just not as bad as the rest.
I know that's not strictly true with Laurent but, as I mentioned, had an excellent opening 6 months of the season, tailed off massively towards the back end of the season like what most players did.
Still, going back to my original point, disappointed but not distraught to lose either of them. Would have liked them to have stayed, but not concerned that they haven't.

YorkshireRoyal99 You can't just keep picking out certain lines of what I've said and then make something else up. As said, like most of the team, he did tail off, which may explain why he won POTS. He still deserved POTS in that season, I'm not questioning that, but he wasn't performing as well as he was in the first 25-ish games of the season.
The difference with Swift last season was, most of the team didn't tail off, they actually picked up, see Laurent himself, Drinkwater, Holmes improved somewhat etc.
But to reiterate, as the point doesn't seem to be sticking yet, I'm not too disappointed to lose Laurent and Rino as neither have been that great for the last 12-18 months, when they've been available (in the case of Rino).

Until we know how they are being replaced it seems daft not to feel disappointed at losing Laurent, Rino and Swift.
Currently they leave us hugely weaker than we would be if they had stayed
If whoever replaces them is not as good then the disappointment remains.
To feel we are better off without them, or that they won’t missed just cannot be rationalised at this point. If we sign 2- 3 good replacements then ok, but if we end up with a 32 year old Albanian , an 18 year old released by Norwich and a 27 year old on his 12th club then I’ll be disappointed they went....

Snowflake Royal Confusing team and player. Players who tail off massively don't win PotS. See Swift this season. Joao the previous year.

I don’t know how many goals and assists Swift managed this year but it wasn’t very many. He was really poor defensively too. Brilliant in the first half of the season but he really dropped off in 2022.

Not sure if you're joking but he was our top scorer with 11 and second most assists in the league with 13.

Simon's Church Yeah realised after I'd posted, 3 goals and 4 assists in 2022. Which would have made him our 3rd top scorer and given him joint most assists with Laurent across the entire season
