Very decent draw for Frankfurt. Knock out stage definitely achievable.

Another brace for Haaland, he has 29 Champions League goals now in 26 appearances. He'll soon become the youngest to 30 goals in the competition. Can't find the record for fastest to 30 goals in terms of matches played, but Van Nistelrooy holds the record for 40 goals, in 45 games.

Off to Spurs v Marseille tonight as a mate of mine had a spare ticket.

Very excited to a) go to Spurs' new stadium for the first time and b) see my first ever live CL game.

Should be a good one as well as Marseille are currently joint-top of Ligue 1

Watched Celtic v Real Madrid last night very much as a neutral (well, almost neutral) and thoroughly enjoyed the game.
I am not a Celtic fan but on the pitch I have to say that they gave a really good account of themselves in the first half and might even have been 1 or 2 ahead playing quick attacking football, the like of which destroyed Rangers at the weekend.

After half-time they seemed to run out of steam and despite Benzema going off injured Real Madrid really turned it on.
Their passing and weight of pass is IMHO even better than City or Liverpool, especially in the players' movement-it probably helps that a number of them have played together for so long.

I never appreciated how good Modric was in his Spurs days but what a player, coming up 37 and still managing to be everywhere for nearly 80 minutes as well as scoring a goal.
With Rudiger possibly now strengthening their back line ,the games in the later stages against the top clubs will be interesting and I wouldn't put it past them to win it again.

As for Celtic, this IMHO is their best side since the 60s glory team with so many attacking options and (regrettably) I reckon Rangers will have to play second best again this season.

Spurs we pretty dog shit for most of last night, made much easier when the guy got sent off for Marseille.

Kulusevski changed the game and Spurs improved so much more when Richarlison decided to actually hold the ball up, rather than just flicking it round the corner constantly.

We also think some of the refereeing is bad in the Championship, the guy doing last nights game was just as bad - really terrible.

A note on the stadium - its incredible, really really impressive. Was in the top tier behind the goal, yet still felt very close to the action. Can't wait to go to NFL game there in October.

Top tier has to be the way to go again for NFL, if you can. Went to a Jags game at Wembley a few years ago and was only five rows back, practically pitch level. Couldn't understand a thing.

We're in the big stand (South Stand?) for the NFL Game about 20 rows from the back so should be all good. Did an NFL game in the US and again was very high up, but on the side - which was class.

Must admit, for Spurs’ strong start to the season, think they’ve been fairly poor in every game I’ve seen them so far this season

Dominated by Chelsea, took them a long time to get going against Wolves, lucky to escape with a point against West Ham and took them 70 minutes to have a shot on target last night. I guess it emphasises the importance of resilience and staying in games where you’re not playing so well, as well as taking your chances when they come but that isn’t a sustainable method of succeeding over a season

Son’s form has got to be a huge worry, from top scorer to this

Yeah, the Spurs fans I went with last night are slightly concerned that they're not playing too well and said they've been pretty poor in most games - only game they were comfortable with was Saints (4-1).

Son's form is also a worry.

Last night's Atletico Vs Porto match was only the 2nd CL game ever to have 3 goals scored in 2nd half injury time (91, 96, 101)

The other game that happened in was Atletico Vs Porto last year (90, 92, 96)

Everytime I watch TAA he looks so suspect at defending and has absolutely zero awareness of where he is or players around him. He is always too far up the pitch and if he's playing for England we will get done by that right hand side.

Other teams seem to know that as well. The number of crossfield balls that go over the top of him and he hasn't got a f*cking clue where the player or ball are, would worry most managers.
