Loafer Everytime I watch TAA he looks so suspect at defending and has absolutely zero awareness of where he is or players around him. He is always too far up the pitch and if he's playing for England we will get done by that right hand side.

Other teams seem to know that as well. The number of crossfield balls that go over the top of him and he hasn't got a f*cking clue where the player or ball are, would worry most managers.

the amount of times people score against Liverpool or England and he is at the back post just completely unaware is shocking

Blind should have scored from a header after TAA completely lost him tonight. Actually, not sure “lost” is the right word, having been close he seemed to just move away from him as the cross was coming over giving him a clear unchallenged header.

Trent is a quality player who’s been harmed by the general loss of form from those around him (Gomez, Van Dijk, Fabinho, Milner etc)

He has limitations, limitations in which we all know what they are but the whole setup of their team these last few years have accommodated these limitations and as such think he’s been left to dry somewhat, something in which people are strangely revelling in

Obvious reason why he doesn’t always feature for England, because Southgate probably feels he can’t account for his defensive lapses

Spurs fans really unhappy with Conte, even after presiding over an unbeaten first 6 games. Simply aren’t creating chances. Teams adapted to Mourinho’s decent start at Spurs by using a deep line to stop Kane and Son’s partnership. Same thing is happening here. Dropping of Kulukevski has been a really poor call

Can’t see it ending well in honesty, even after a strong start, will go the same way it went under Jose

One might imagine Harry Kane being just a tad envious of the lad Haaland getting all those chances at City. Coulda / shoulda been him.

Watched the Frankfurt game last night, great result to pick up their first ever Champions League win. A comfortable 1-0 that really should have been 2 or 3 bar a couple of fine saves from the keeper. Kolo Muani up front is going to be one hell of a player, skill to burn and just needs to add a bit more composure in front of goal.

Back to back games v Spurs now and there is growing confidence that they can get a win in one of those two games. 3rd is probably still the realistic target to head back to the Europa League but if they can pick up a win then the knock-out stages are not beyond them.

Spurs supporting friend has been saying this to me. I haven't watched them so assumed they were doing fine but he keeps saying its a fortunate run that will come to an end soon

perhaps one for the brits abroad thread but Marcus Edwards ran the show last night for sporting, a former spurs youth product none the less, expect the premier league vultures to be circling for him in the future.

Last thing on anyone’s mind was that he would shoot. Man City CDs just don’t do that from outside the area, but when they do.....

Totally taken by surprise by the looks of it.

Cancelo’s outside of the foot pass and Haaland’s finish were both unreal.

Letting in the 1st goal seems to be their thing this season - gives ‘em a challenge I suppose!

Yeah, gets lost a bit after Haaland's ridiculous finish. If City can score goals like this, everyone else may as well pack up and go home.

I just cannot get my head around how Haaland can think that quick, to throw his body in the air like that and to score

He is built different

Might be a bit of an optical illusion, I think the ball was basically past him before he withdraws his hand.
