Cremonese have become the fifth Serie A side not to win any of their first 19 league games in a season (8 draws, 11 defeats). Some way to go for the record though, in 1974/75, Varese failed to win any of their first 28 games (11 draws, 17 defeats), and Ancona the same in 2003/04 (7 draws, 21 defeats).

In a 38-game season, no team has ever won fewer than Chievo Verona's two victories in 2018/19.

Atletico Madrid fans follow up monkey chants a couple of months ago with hanging an effigy of Vinicius Jr over a bridge.

Been reading up on the Juventus stuff and things I learned:

Still more is being looked into and there could yet be another points deduction to come

There is a criminal investigation ongoing as what they have done can be seen as misleading the stock exchange, so could be a serious financial penalty for that

20 individual players are accused of signing a side letter to receive wages in secret. These could all be in trouble (Ronaldo & Kulusevski didn't sign one so they are not in trouble)

And one big one is that the full report from the guilty verdict will be out before tuesday. Authorities are waiting to understand the finer detail over how and what they were found guilty of as this could set a precedent and then others will be investigated for similar. If UEFA take it seriously then they could open a European wide investigation over the same, and there are some very iffy looking transfers involving non Italian clubs that could get looked into in more detail (Barca & Juve swapping Pjanic & Arthur for a very high figure for example). If UEFA decide to also look into it then it could become a huge story.

Bayern draw for the 3rd game in a row, while the chasing pack make ground.

4th place now only 3 points behind them

Sassuolo put 5 past AC Milan at the San Siro, and the game is not over yet

Roma have just equalised against Napoli. Cracking game. Roma have been battering the Napoli goal all 2nd half. Was only a matter of time.

Osimhen's goal :o . What a player

Would be quite something if Sevilla managed to get relegated - they've spent all but five of the last 50 years in La Liga.

I don't think anyone has ever sounded more Dutch than that commentator.

The bottom half/mid table of La Liga does tend to look very congested during the season. Just looked at the table now for 2020/21 and there were 12 points separating Granada in 9th and Huesca who were relegated in 18th, Granada also finished 12 points off 7th-placed Villareal that season.

Even last season, 10 points separated 9th-placed Valencia from 18th-placed Granada, whereas Valencia finished 11 points behind 7th-placed Villareal.

Disappointed he didn't fall to the ground clutching his face when the attacker threw the ball at him.

What’s the point of the points ?

Unless I’ve missed something it’s just 2 points per goal so gives nothing new

lesser points awarded to goals scored in lesser leagues. I was expecting some to appear so included them to explain why one person with less goals was above someone else, but as I got to the end I realised the only goalscorers were from the 'big' leagues so it was a waste of time. but I couldn't be bothered to deleted them
