I see their point. It's not at all like Juve to constantly get up to dodgy financial shenanigans and they never, ever seem to get the rub of the green.

Winston Biscuit this conversation has inspired me to do something

Upd8 - got all excited about visiting grounds today, messaged a mate (the one who 'moved to Scotland' but it turned out he has been living in Aldershot for years), told him we have a new adventure to go on, we need to visit a load of lower league grounds in England. Must be tiers 3-5 and neither of us can have been there before. He is bang up for it! We are meeting up the weekend after next to plan Game 1 of the new adventure.

I also got overexcited and told him my plan was to talk him into going to a game elsewhere in Europe sometime and he is up for that too!

In Ligue 1, bottom-placed Angers have now lost 12 games in a row, albeit nine of those defeats have been by a single goal. They have equalled a Ligue 1 record set by four different sides, most recently Dijon in early 2021. They go to 7th place Lorient next looking to avoid an outright record.

The European top flight record is Sunderland's epic 20-game losing run over two difference seasons, in the early 00s.

Cremonese, winless and bottom of Serie A, knocked out Roma in the Coppa Italia QF last night having already knocked out league leaders Napoli in the round before

Watching Real Madrid v Valencia

1. I’m not surprised Barca are 8 points clear
2. How do this lot survive in the CL

I know the bottom of La Liga is tight but Valencia are really poor but Madrid don’t appear to be any better

Madrid always look awful when Kroos plays defensive midfield, yet multiple coaches, over multiple seasons have played him there when the main DM has been injured.

Selling Casemiro was the biggest transfer mistake Perez has made since selling Makelele.

Braga's great run came crashing to an end with a 5-0 defeat to Sporting Lisbon. Among the goalscorers was Marcus Edwards

Balogun now overtaken Mbappe as top scorer in Ligue 1. he is on loan to Reims from Arsenal and olays for England under 21's

Not bad for a 21 year old playing for a team in the bottom half of the table

Pretty advanced too, apparently decided to emigrate to England from the US when he was two!

He has scored 14 goals for Reims which makes “Flo” (as he is nicknamed) currently the leading scorer of any player aged 21 or under in Europe's top five leagues.

Wonder if Reading’s management could persuade Arsenal on a season long loan in the summer.

Winston Biscuit Queens Park top of the Scottish Championship. Not been in the top division since 1958 and have spent most of the last 30 years in the 4th division. They just lost the top scorer in the division to Ross County last night.

they fielded an ineligible player in the cup and are likely to get kicked out.

Yep - now been confirmed.

It's an odd one. They signed the player after the date of the rearranged cup game, but because he'd not been at the club on the original date then he was ineligible for it when it was actually played.

Nice thought, but if he's got 14 goals in half a season in Ligue 1, he's going nowhere near the Championship.

Deportivo La Coruna on a good run in the Spanish 3rd div. looked like play offs were likely to be their best bet for quite a while but the others at the top have all been dropping points recently and they are now up to 3rd place, 2 points off the top

One of the clubs I vote we keep our HNA eye on this season are Suditrol. Among a host of very recognisable names in Serie B are Suditrol, from a town in the very north of Italy near the Austrian border where many of the residents speak German

Formed in the 90's and an amateur club until 2000, they got promoted from Serie C last season and are now in the 2nd tier for the first time in their history. They are in 4th place, 2 points off of an automatic promotion spot.

They play in a little 3 sided ground where only 2 of the sides accommodate supporters

And Interesting piece on the bbc describing Valencia’s (not so) recent demise. Seems it’s all down to their shit owner, Peter Lim. Who, also co-owns Salford fc with Gary Neville and co

What a great scene for a football ground, not sure how much development can happen in an area like that though.

Not the only club, look at where Real Zaragoza are now and have been for the best part of a decade now. I think they've got the most trophies outside the top flight in Spain at the moment.
